It seems that one of the large COVID vaccine manufacturers is considering calling it quits. Reuters is reporting that AstraZeneca is considering options to exit the vaccine business it was so ready to jump into just a few months ago.
A company official said that the organization is trying to determine if the vaccine business is sustainable for the organization. It’s a surprising statement given that the company had very little expense out of its own pockets for the vaccine.
AstraZeneca received millions in government aid to help develop and manufacture the COVID vaccine that it produced. In fact, the cost to the company was only 2-3% of the total cost to develop the vaccine, leaving it to profit millions from the technology once the pandemic was over.
The company official said that it is a strategic question as to whether the company wants to remain in the business. But could it be that there is another reason?...

Some people do not want mRNA vaccine so they would take AstraZeneca vaccine where it’s available.
Well fedgov and others seem to be pushing Pfizer/Moderna. Everything we read is Partially or Fully vaxxed, as in a two part jab of mRNA. Maybe a third coming soon as a booster.
Take the money and run…
The article implies there may be more to this than just quitting the vaccine business. Do an Internet search on ‘vaccine microclots.’
Pfizer and their reported graphene oxide additive is gaining ground.
They stand to make many billions in PROFIT alone.
Maybe they are buying off a competitor.
before more vaxxed people die.
Yeah, I’m thinking that despite the blanket immunity they received from Congress, they know that due to the ineffectiveness of the vaccines combined with the adverse effects they are causing there will be serious blowback from the public and investors along with irreparable damage to their brand’s reputation. Time to get out now.
Wouldn't surprise me.
They know that if liability is ever considered for anything at all, they’re up Sh*t Creek.
Some judge will weaken.
When the suing starts it’s going to hurt worst than their vaccine
“Some people do not want mRNA vaccine so they would take AstraZeneca vaccine where it’s available.”
I am guessing that the AstraZeneca people think that when this all blows up, even though they were not using mRNA technology, that they do not want to be associated with vaccinations. When the lynch mobs start forming they are not going to ask which technology the manufacturer was using.
Or, they have been made an offer by a competitor to leave the business and they are taking it. “Here’s our patent on XYZ. In exchange you take the only vaccination people really want and leave the business.”

Curious.
Astra Zeneca is the most widely used Covid vaccine around the world. Most European vaccinations are Astra Zeneca. Its licensed version made in India is in wide use globally.
Maybe the Chinese Sinovac is in competition in re sheer numbers.
Its possible that the company sees their market simply drying up, as those countries who can afford to pay for vaccines are nearing their saturation point (Europe, USA, East Asia), and the competition is likely to get intense, as there are so many alternatives hunting for markets. Its not like it was six months ago, when the whole world was desperate for deliveries of anything.
Why? It’s win/win. You can’t get sued. You can get all the, profits without the liablity.
Politicians can grant immunity today and withdraw it tomorrow. Politicians will just claim the evil pharmaceutical companies misled them. Confiscate all their assets. Big tobacco all over again.
