Think of YouTube nowadays and what is the first thing that comes to mind? For many people it is censorship. It started out slow with a lot of people thinking, “Oh, Alex Jones was shut down but it will go no further.” Well, they were wrong. Alex Jones was merely Censorship Patient Zero and we are all now the new Alex Joneses (keeping up with the Joneses?)
In the past two or three years, YouTube censorship has gotten egregious to the point of absolute absurdity. In addition, channels that are punished for being in violation of their guidelines often have the exact same clips as appear on the “legacy” media which YouTube is so fond of and are somehow immune to their censorship guidelines.

Anyway, as you will read, I basically proposed a joint effort among YouTube creators to do something like they did in 2018 when they created a very popular YouTube Rewind of their own as an answer to the almost universally hated official Rewind. This time the theme should be on censorship.
And on this I am reaching across the political spectrum to what I term the "non-eliminationist" left that includes folks like Jimmy Dore or Krystal Ball with whom I disagree on most political matters but with whom I definitely agree on in their opposition to censorship.

Youtube is yet another terrible censor. If you don’t follow the narrative, then you get taken down or shadow banned. Content creators have had to come up with tricky and clever ways to keep their shows from getting axed.
