Those days are over. The best we can hope for is that things don’t go down the drain completely before we check out.
I’ve come to realize it’s no longer “my world”, (not that it ever was). What I mean is, people of my generation, who tend to be like minded, are dying off. Younger Americans, who are fully indoctrinated have the power. The have the keys to the car, and we’re watching them do a burn out, ruining the tires before they run it off a cliff.

Of that, there is no doubt. President Trump’s aggressive dealings with the Chinese was upsetting the cash flow to our political class. Nothing will unite our political class faster than protecting the fruits of their corruption.

I don’t believe it is that dire. My son is 30. Yes, he has lost friends due to their ‘wokeness’ - sometimes by his own decision as he has absolutely ZERO interest in having any discussion about their insane woke ideas. There’s no dignified discussion to be had, so why bother?
The left leaves the perception they’re brainwashing everyone but there’s really a massive divide where one side, probably the bigger one, stays quiet. Lots of kids stay quiet in college, they just say what is expected of them to get through.

I am going by my very, extremely limited view. I live in the blue part of Ohio. My city, which was once solidly Republican has turned so Democrat that a Republican has no chance to win any elected position.
My daughter is conservative. My two sons are left of center, one being VERY left of center. They relate stories about their friends and business dealings. In the under 40 crowd I know or am aware of, the left is winning by at least a 2:1 margin.
I admit that isn’t a lot to go on, but given that’s all that I experience, it would explain my dire outlook.
I hope I’m wrong, but either way, I hope I’m gone before it all goes off the rails.
I’ve added Barr to my “Jane Fonda” list of special people. I wonder how long the line will be to pour urine on their graves?
