Some of us here have to watch our weight and may also have medical conditions, like diabetes, that need one's blood sugar watched.
So, after doing some research, I figured out how to make sugar-free iced tea that tastes pretty decent, As far as I know, it won't mess around with your blood sugar.
3 litres water. 4 tea bags. 2 tea spoons Real Lemon, or some other real lemon source. 1 Tablespoon and 2 teaspoons Mio Lemon.
Bring water to boil and throw in the tea bags and allow to simmer for an hour. Pour into a pitcher and add the lemon and Mio, or an equivalent artificial juicer.
You may have to make an adjustment for personal taste, but it's basically calorie free.
You can also use the other flavours, like Raspberry or peach or some other flavour.

Just drink straight black tea over ice. You get used to the taste. It’s naturally sweet.
I use a Mr. Coffee Iced Tea maker. I put stevia in the steeping basket along with the family sized tea bag(s). The brewed tea is now sweetened and ready to pour. I use real lemon wedges and sprigs of mint.
Costs too much. My recipe can be made for 50 cents for 3 litres.
That was one of my motivating factors.
Mio lemon?
Please explain.
I’ve never done that. I do prefer tea over coffee, because I do taste a bit of sweet in tea, without adding sugar.
But why do I need to get use to it, when I have something delicious of my own creation? Hmph!
Except, of course, for the vodka.
That’s a brand name of those artificial juicers that you squeeze into your glass or pitcher that are replacing the traditional powders.
I’d have to try that.
50 cents for 23 ounce can is too much?
Your can is about three times the cost of my homemade iced tea.
Yes, I’m that cheap.
Do you also make your own seltzer water?
I did have a Soda Stream at one time, but I gave that to my nephew. I’ve never tried carbonated tea.
I've eliminated most added sugar from my diet over the past 30 years and have been much healthier for it. Now I'm trying to eliminate the artificial sweeteners like Splenda and stevia that load our "no-calorie" drinks.
For example, that zero-calorie Arnold Palmer drink posted further upthread is loaded with Splenda. I'd rather avoid even that if I can.
I've learned to appreciate black coffee but "black tea" is more of an acquired taste.
I eat low carb. Cured diabetes and lipid issues for me. I safely use Stevia and Monk fruit sweeteners.
I’m planning on testing it on my mom, who has diabetes. I’m hoping that it is something that she can drink.
I’m rather fond of a low calorie instant iced tea mix sold by Wal-Mart (Great Value brand). There are six packets in a small plastic container for $1.68, but it will make 3 gallons of tea. It’s sold in lemon and peach flavors.
Some may turn up their noses at “instant” but I like the taste.
That stuff would work, if the flavour works. Probably any flavour that is traditionally iced tea flavours would work.
When I drop a dollar I bend over to pick it up, but when I drop a quarter I leave it for some lucky kid to find.
That’s the measure of my cheapness.
