Australia, New South Wales to require tracking of all People at All Establishmens
Gun Watch ^ | 7 July, 2021 (Australian Time) | Dean Weingarten

Posted on 07/06/2021 4:04:22 PM PDT by marktwain

This reminds me of the silly restrictions on firearms ownership from 1996. They were put in place because of one extreme event where 35 people were killed. The expense and restrictions on personal liberty could not possibly be justified.

Now we see something similar with COVID-19.

The government of New South Wales is requiring that all people be tracked at every business and organization, in the name of COVID-19 control, as of July 12, 2021.

This correspondent first learned of this Orwellian control system from a friend living in Australia, yesterday. The first thought was this is an Orwellian conspiracy theory.

A quick check on the Internet brought up an official New South Wales (NSW) web page. From nsw.gov.au:

COVID-Safe check-in to become mandatory

From Monday 12 July 2021, it will be mandatory for all businesses and workplaces to use the Service NSW COVID Safe Check-in. Customers, staff, and other visitors will need to use the Service NSW app to check-in.

Here is a transcript of the official video introducing and justifying the system. The video says the information will only be kept for 28 days.

Register as a COVID Safe Business and get a free QR code for easy, contactless check-in.

The Service NSW app collects information from your customers and stores it securely in one place.

The app makes record keeping and contact tracing safe and easy.

Display your unique QR code where it’s easy for customers to see.

When they arrive at your venue, customers can check in with the Service NSW app on their mobile phone.

By selecting ‘COVID Safe Check-in’ and following the prompts, you can verify they’ve checked in to your business.

Customer information will be kept for 28 days and only released by Service NSW for official contact tracing.

It’s easy for you, easy for your customers and it’s COVID Safe.

The restrictions seem a complete overreaction. They are a tremendous expense and intrusion to deal with what is essentially a non-problem. NSW only showed 18 new cases in the last 24 hours. There has been a total of 56 lives lost since the pandemic began, out of a total of 5,808 total confirmed cases.  2,332,860 doses of vaccine have been administered since February of 2021.

The population of NSW is 8.166 million people.

The new restrictions cannot possibly be justified as cost effective, as cases and deaths are already extremely low.South Australia requires the QR code tracing already.

Perhaps the plans to track all people in New South Wales in all their daily activities were already in place.

This cannot be justified as a measure to stop COVID-19, which has already been stopped.

For some reason this article reminds me of a scene from the movie Demolition Man where John Spartan says “Why don’t you just shove a leash up my ass.”

Covid is a respiratory disease and not a venereal disease, so tracking is impractical.

Mr. A could sneeze Covid droplets and Mr. B 300 feet downwind could get infected.

Australia WAS started as a penal colony after all....

Oh no, several American states were started as penal colonies too. 😨😨

Tyrants in this country will be watching this closely.

Come on you are being silly. Just self-identify as a red kangaroo or a koala bear and they cannot track you since you would no longer be human.

The very same thought crossed my mind being an SC resident and plenty of sheep demos live here.

in most Australian States, QR codes are now mandatory. in 3 States, the police have already accessed the data (which was not supposed to happen) for crime purposes.

in Queensland, you have to sign in at the entrances to shopping malls (often 2 or 3 entrances) PLUA at each shop/supermarket you enter once inside the mall.

too bad for the several million Australians who don’t have smart phones, or phones with internet access, who then have to sign in manually, meaning their private details are being held by sundry strangers.

when Boris Johnson govt announced UK to end restrictions this month, including mask-wearing and the need for QR Codes, the FakeNewsMSM worldwide mostly omitted he was dropping the need for the QR codes. clearly the global elite want the codes to continue at all cost.

not long back, Xi Jinping was publicly declaring he hoped the world would adopt China’s social code or whatever it’s called over there.

“several American states were started as penal colonies too. 😨😨!”

One of my ancestors poed the Brits over a church issue. He was arrested, tried and found guilty of whatever and sent to New Jersey as an even worse punishment than Australia.

He lived a full and good life in NJ.

apologies for accidental double posting comment.

yes, it is insane, but so far the public have gone along with it.

reminder - Australia has had ONE ‘covid’ death THIS YEAR, and that was someone returning to the country.

of the 910 Australian ‘covid’ deaths, 81% were people in aged care facilities, and most of them were from one State, Victoria, where the figures are dodgy anyway.

9 Sept 2020: The Conversation: ‘Died from’ or ‘died with’ COVID-19? We need a transparent approach to counting coronavirus deaths
by Marc Trabsky, Senior Lecturer, La Trobe Law School and Director, Centre for Health, Law and Society, La Trobe University AND Courtney Hempton
Associate Research Fellow, Deakin University

For example, Victoria’s coroner is currently investigating the death of a man in his twenties, who was widely reported as being Australia’s youngest coronavirus death. The coroner is investigating whether his death was primarily caused by SARS-CoV-2, or whether the virus contributed less substantially to his death.

While this death was reported on August 14 in Victoria’s daily death toll, according to The Sydney Morning Herald, as of August 28 it wasn’t counted in the federal COVID-19 death tally. It remains unclear whether the death has been added to the federal count as of today...

The lack of nuance in Australia’s COVID-19 death tally means the true death rate may be unknown, and may be adjusted in the future.

For example, on August 31 Victoria recorded only eight COVID-19 deaths from the previous 24 hours, but also added 33 historical deaths to the toll. According to the state’s Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton, this backlog was due to changes in how aged care providers reported COVID-19 deaths, and differences in reporting methods between the state and federal governments.

On September 4 there were six deaths recorded over the previous 24-hours, but a further 53 historical deaths were added to the daily toll, 50 of which were related to aged care...

Delays may have been caused by aged care providers struggling to verify not only residents who died from COVID-19, but also those suspected to have died with the virus.

The Victorian and Commonwealth governments are reportedly working to reconcile how COVID-19 deaths are counted and reported. But it may be months or years before detailed death data can be analysed...

I hate to post anything from covid porn, taxpayer-funded ABC, but here goes:

6 July: ABC Australia: Thousands of close contacts caught up in ‘devastating’ quarantine in wake of Queensland’s COVID clusters
By Lily Nothling
More than 6,600 people who visited a growing list of exposure sites across south-east Queensland and Townsville have been directed to quarantine at home during the 14-day incubation period.

About 5,000 of those people are confined to their homes, which they can only leave to get a COVID-19 test, access essential medical care or if it is an emergency.

Other close contacts have been placed into hotel quarantine at the state’s expense...Police have made more than 1,200 random home quarantine checks and Deputy Police Commissioner Steve Gollschewski said “by and large the compliance has been very good”...
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-07-06/covid-qld-thousands-caught-up-in-mandatory-home-hotel-quarantine/100268268

btw it was admitted this week that not one person in Australia has contracted covid OUTDOORS during the entire 18 months of the “pandemic”.
