7.62 x 51 is the way to go. It has power, accuracy and if you have the gas adjusted right low recoil. It’s a winner.If you want long-range performance, how about the 7.62 x 65 (.308 Norma Magnum)? I believe that is about the top-end of the 7.62 calibers.
