Yup. Because they had to exaggerate the ‘rona instead.

But, seriously, the ‘rona could have scared the flu bug into retreat.

We will never know if 2020 would have been one of the bad flu years.

So did we just exchange one bad bug for another?

If I’m understanding correctly here, the theory (”viral interference”) is that the immunity people developed against corona also helped them fight off the flu?

Interesting theory. Maybe it’s true.

The handwashing and the cleaning and all the extra caution might have helped, too.

But are the flu numbers even accurate? Every year, about 500 people are confirmed to die from the flu. Then the CDC estimates that many thousands more actually died from it, just to convince people to take the flu shot.

So... is the CDC playing with us again?
