Smith & Wesson has a new M&P Shield ez that is easy to rack designed for women, I guess. Also has some safety features absent in the other ones.
If I buy another handgun it’ll be a s&w EZ.
It’s actually designed for the elderly and those with medical issues that don’t allow them to rack a normal slide.
Most women can rack most pistol slides just fine.
I am a GLOCK guy usually ccw a 26 +1. I like the new M&P SHIELD because I was able to pick up the older one for $220.
I love my both my 9 and the 380 ez shield. They were great for arthritic hands up until the time they were lost in horrible boating accident.
Be careful with the guide rod on the 9mm EZ. A misalignment can jam the slide closed. I worked out how to unjam it. Correct placement of the chamber end of the guide rod is critical. Aside from that caution, it’s a good pistol.
My wife has an M&P Shield. To be honest, it isn’t a bad gun. Has been reliable with the exception of some steel-case ammo which was a bit finicky; but since it doesn’t get carried with steel-case, not the end of the world.
I just picked up a Walther PDP as I wanted an optics-ready pistol; and that is a real nice shooting handgun. Trigger is even nicer than a PPQ, and even edges out my VP which is my preferred carry.
