...Renacci has increasingly sought to draw comparisons of the leadership decisions of DeWine and New York’s Cuomo, and he has pledged to “Put Ohio First.”

The campaign statement added, “DeWine has a history of modeling his leadership after Andrew Cuomo, trafficking New York style politics and corruption into Ohio. Tax increases, unnecessary shut downs, rampant fraud and corruption, and pay-for-play scandals will be DeWine’s legacy as governor.”

The 30-second clip shows footage of violent protestors looting and destroying buildings during the course of riots in summer of 2020. Further, it compares the language of DeWine and Cuomo. DeWine says only “a small number” of individuals were violent, and Cuomo claims the majority of protestors were peaceful.

Another focal point of Renacci’s DeWine-Cuomo criticism stems from DeWine’s decision to use taxpayer funds to encourage individuals to receive the coronavirus vaccine. Both governors utilized lottery-style giveaways to persuade individuals....

Supposedly Renacci is 20 points ahead of DeWine. I'm not a big Renacci fan, but I do consider him an improvement and could easily raise a glass to him if he defeats DeWine in the primary.

Loser. Now he wants to take DeWine down with him. Governors are not that important unless there’s an octogenarian in the senate ready to croak

I disagree. Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker's ACT10 (Education/Union reform), voting laws and mining changes were seismic in Wisconsin.

Also, in many states Governors are crucial when drawing new congressional districts after the Census.

DeWine was good as a county DA and State AG, however he was a retard both in the Senate and as Governor.

My gut tells me Renacci sucks, as well. But I’m not going to review his political history to find out what it was. DeWine can hit the road.

Renacci held a seat in the House from 2010 to 2018. He ran for Senate in 2018, losing to long time incumbent Sherwood Brown. He is a consistent conservative, unlike “moderate” republican DeWine, and would be. good replacement. There will be several candidates primarying DeWine, so too early to tell who is a favorite. RINO Jane Timken however appears to be out.

I just hope DeWine doesn’t win because the other candidates split the vote too much.
