Inflation spiking at the highest level since 2008 apparently wasn’t newsworthy enough to receive coverage on the ABC, CBS and NBC morning networks yesterday.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released the anticipated Consumer Price Index (CPI) report at 8:30 a.m. on June 10. The report revealed that consumer prices had skyrocketed a whopping 5 percent in May on a year-over-year basis. The Wall Street Journal dubbed the event the “the biggest surge in inflation in nearly 13 years.” CNBC said that economists were expecting a 4.7 percent spike in inflation. The indication is that the official BLS statistic clearly beat expectations. Core CPI, which excludes food and energy prices, clocked at 3.8 percent over the last year, the “highest since 1992,” according to Robeco Portfolio Manager Jeroen Blokland. Bloomberg News said that the data extended “a months-long buildup in inflation that risks becoming more established as the economy strengthens.”
Meanwhile, ABC’s Good Morning America (GMA), CBS This Morning, NBC’s Today and NBC’s 3rd Hour of Today all ignored reporting the story. Watching the networks after the 8:30 a.m. BLS release would suggest that the scary inflation data didn’t exist at all.

Just the downpayment on what is coming.
Why would a rational, decent person expect anything different from the MSM. They are vile propagandists and will not report or investigate anything that reflects badly on Bien and his globalist/socialist clown parade. The MSM simply does not tell the truth and will not deviate from the political narrative.
"S&P futures - which overnight rolled from the ESM (June) to the ESU (Sept) contract - extended gains on Friday further into record territory as inflation fears receded into the background calming concerns over a possible long-term spike in rising prices, with investors now turning focus to next week's Federal Reserve meeting for more cues on monetary policy.
I don’t believe inflation “skyrocketed a whopping 5 percent” - I believe it is closer to 10%-15% if not higher.
The price of everything is spiking, especially gas - and when gas goes up everything goes up as well.
I was looking at plants for my summer garden at Lowe’s and noticed prices have doubled since last year - even their “dead plant” racks, where I’ve saved a lot of things, are now going for $4.00 where everything was mostly $1.00 last year.
buy perennials. i only have a small amount of annuals now. i get perennials from their “dead plant” racks as well then nurse them back to health. Found two fuscias with sun scald.
Of course…they are nothing but propaganda outlets for rats and traitors…
The Left will be surprised by many truths soon to come due.
Sadly, innocents, too, are destroyed by the left's suicidal agenda. That being said, the gods of the copybook headings are honing their blades as we speak.
I agree and my yards are mostly planted with native plants and perennials. I do have some vegetables, tomatoes and peppers mostly, and those are annuals.
Lowe’s often puts out overstock on their dead plant racks and I’ve found a lot of great things there with nothing wrong with them. I got a begonia in perfect shape last week in a beautiful ceramic pot for $8.00 - it was originally marked $16, which seemed pricey.
The good thing with the native plants is they bring in bees, butterflies and birds, which makes my yards even nicer.
It’s hard to get accurate numbers on the actual money supply and the true inflation rate because Governments try and obscure that. From what I have been able to get it looks like we will soon be facing the worst inflation in living history for the dollar.
