Why would the police say such a thing? The driver drove up to someone he didn’t know and shot him three times. Are the police trying to establish a defense for the thug? Are Mr Worrell’s injuries any less painful or life-threatening because of the shooter’s (whose hair reminds one of Sideshow Bob’s) mental health state?

This is a case for reparations for slavery: those who sold the slaves to the US should offer a full refund to those who bought slaves, interest compounded at an average of 3% yearly.

It would have been cheaper, all things considered, to have paid the equivalent of the (not-yet existent) Union wages to pick cotton instead of using slaves.

His guardian angel was working overtime. I always told my soldiers before every patrol about situational awareness and complaceny. You can travel the same route everyday, it doesn’t mean some ...well I can’t say what they were... .didn’t go out and plant some presents along the route. Always be vigilant.
