That was the essence of what CNN’s Brian Stelter begged of White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki.
It was a plea for punishment. A beastial desire to be corrected. It was violent but erotic with the raw physicality of “Fifty Shades of Grey” and the tortuous titillation of 9 1/2 Weeks.
You could see it in his eyes.
“What does the press get wrong when covering Biden’s agenda?”
(We’ve been very, very bad. Tell us all the ways. Leave no implement of pain holstered.)
“When you watch the news, when you read the news, what do you think we get wrong?" he pleaded.
With that, Stelter had presented himself to his political dominatrix and excitedly awaited his sensual but brutal thrashing.
Psaki was overcome by an eruption of rage. It all came to the surface, all the reasons she loathed the meddling media.
“We understand everybody’s always looking for a deadline a timeline, things like that,” she scoffed.
The beating was relentless and only time will tell if Stelter had forgotten the safe word or was so aroused by the pummeling that he was unable to vocalize a response anymore substantive than a deep-throated moan or a quivering whimper.
It was also a cathartic exercise for Jen Psaki who administered the final blows while reinforcing the theme of the media’s reeducation.
“We’re trying to get bills and legislation passed. It feels foreign but this is actually how it’s supposed to work.”
So stop asking questions about inflation, the border, jobs numbers and the origins of Covid-19 and stick to questions about dogs and ice cream the scarlet-maned political dominatrix demanded as her subject moaned and groaned in complete compliance.
