Great, comprehensive article up to the fictionalized part about “the rapture”.
Rev. 14:14-16 - The Rapture of The Saints
Much of the eschatological debate is about the “when” of it; NOT the “if” of it.
That bit about Christians “not appointed into wrath” has led to “wrath” being employed in various states of, uhhh, elasticity.
The pre-trib folks stretch the term to call the entirety of the tribulation “wrath” DESPITE that God labels only the Seven Bowls (or Vials) “Bowls of Wrath.” And they’ve got a multi-page explanation why it’s ALL wrath, and God has, I suppose, missed the memo about what is, and what isn’t.
And never mind that this view necessarily elevates the Bowls well beyond “wrath” to something like “Bowls of Extremely Super-sized Wrath with Hella Hot Wrath Wings, and Extra-wrathful Sriracha and Jabanero Wrath Sauce.”
Would you like a cookie with that?
This coming from a dude that prays to a dead person who has been represented by a demon throughout the last 2 millennia - yes I’m talking about your “virgin” Mary...
