Evidence continues to point to the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) as the origin of SARS-CoV-2. Meanwhile, based on the now publicized emails sent to and from Dr. Fauci, it has become evident that there was a strong push to downplay this theory and convince the world the virus evolved naturally.
The story grew thicker on Thursday.
According to a report from Vanity Fair, last March, leading scientists aggressively tried to silence former Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Robert Redfield after stating his belief on CNN that the virus originated from a lab in Wuhan. Following his public comments, Redfield told the outlet that fellow scientists sent him death threats.
“I was threatened and ostracized because I proposed another hypothesis,” Redfield told Vanity Fair. “I expected it from politicians. I didn’t expect it from science.”
Redfield adds the messages came from prominent scientists, some of whom used to be his friends.
Here were Redfield’s comments to CNN’s Sanjay Gupta on March 26, 2020:
“I’m of the point of view that I still think the most likely etiology of this pathology in Wuhan was from a laboratory — escaped. Other people don’t believe that. That’s fine. Science will eventually figure it out.
“It’s not unusual for respiratory pathogens that are being worked on in a laboratory to infect the laboratory worker. That’s not implying any intentionality.”
“It’s my opinion, right? But I am a virologist. I have spent my life in virology.”
That, of course, wasn’t allowed. Not by some random Twitter user with four followers, and certainly not from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director.
Two points should not have to be made, but must:
First, once a death threat is sent — for any reason — the story is taken to another level, and each individual who issued the threat should be punished.
Second, the fact that only one point of view on the virus’ origin was accepted last year should be a warning about the country’s direction. This was not a one-off. Forget free speech, free thought is now up for debate.
What makes this matter all the more troubling is that the scientists, the so-called experts, the politicians, and the journalists who belittled those who questioned COVID’s origin appear to have participated in a world-changing cover-up.
Right now, all signs point to the virus leaking from the WIV.
Thursday, a week after a report revealed that three researchers from the WIV were hospitalized in November 2019 with symptoms mirroring COVID-19, former White House coronavirus testing czar Admiral Brett Giroir says it’s likely SARS-CoV-2 was part of an offensive bioweapons program and leaked out accidentally.
Giroir says there are no patterns of mutations that suggest the virus naturally went from an animal to a human, which experts and leaders promulgated.
Go back in time to one year ago. Remember to whom we were told to listen. Did their responses, dismissals, demands, and actions slow the virus’ spread? Or did they help China potentially cover up one of the biggest stories in world history?
We weren’t allowed to ask questions a year ago. Now, those who were silenced need to speak up. They must demand answers from those who silenced them.

A study5 published on 3 February found that the bat coronavirus shared 96% of its genetic material with the virus that causes COVID-19. Bats could have passed the virus to humans, but there are key differences between the RBD sites in the two viruses. This suggests that this specific bat coronavirus did not directly infect people, but could have been transmitted it to people through an intermediate host, say researchers.

Many scientists have devoted their lives to the service of the left.
Since there was a threat I conclude the virus was developed in a Chinese lab.
If your want to kill off the older folks and tell the people they can have more babies...and then they selectively choose males..That’s how you build armies.

thank you for posting this article on Doctor Redfield, a true scientist and an admirable human being
I tried to bring attention to him and his wisdom when he had been still a member of Trump’s taskforce, but had been essentially silenced assumedly by the Fauci forces.
Early on he recommended universal masking as a method to build immunity, shorten the pandemic and decrease the severity of the disease and of the death rate.
Obviously, that protocol would have avoided the majority of the shutdown also. He also said we could could be through with emergency in just weeks.
His recommendations required a type of nuanced thinking which has been bred out of the technocrat scientists currently his adversaries. But, I believe history will recognize him as the genius of the taskforce.
He seeks and speaks truth as he finds it. He has had his enemies all along

Skepticism is good, and the Vanity Fair piece doesn’t give any details, but why is it so hard to believe that leftist scientists embedded in the CDC and other institutions would be capable of this in response to Dr. Redfield stating that he thought the lab leak hypothesis was likely?
At the time, that was a conspiracy theory. And racist. So, while confirmation would be good, it’s not very hard to believe, imho.
