Fifty-eight percent of U.S. adults believe it is “definitely or probably true” the coronavirus originated in a Chinese lab.
The Economist/YouGov poll asked respondents, “Regardless of whether or not it was created or naturally mutated, do you believe it is true or false that a laboratory in China was the origin of the virus responsible for COVID-19?”
Nine percent more answered in the affirmative in 2021 than in 2020, 58 percent to 49 percent, respectively.
The poll also revealed that 77 percent of Republicans, 65 percent of independents, and 43 percent of Democrats believe the coronavirus originated in a Chinese lab...

My gut feeling is it was accidentally released into China first, which would obviously not be the intended target if that was the plan, but their incompetence let it escape the lab, so they had to find a way to explain it, hence the wet market story.
They have fallen back to their next line of defense...”made in a lab”.
Now we will hear that this was all research meant to predict and create vaccines we might need.
Next it will be admitted that it was a biological weapon effort.
Then someday, a few decades from now, if the globalism is somehow defeated, historians will explain the details of the deliberate release intended to remove Trump, protect the CCP from spreading protests, reduce us economically, and to win the trade war.
Why is almost everything decided by a poll ? Why not just do an investigation and get to the truth, not someone’s opinion?
I ALWAYS believed it came out of the Wuhan lab. C’mon. They give the Chinese to MUCH credit to believe it did not.
It isn’t that anything here is being decided by a poll. And yes, polling has a lot of problems.
But some polls can measure some valid things about public opinion.
This might just be a case of people feeling freer to say out loud the suspicions they have had about the ‘rona.

I wouldn’t believe a propaganda poll which would downplay the number of people who know the Wuhanic Plague originated in a Wuhan lab.
Only 42% of Americans are brain dead? I though it was higher than that based on the last election.

China had a dangerous spreading problem. It was no longer able to do a Tiananmen square solution. In 1989 the world had no leverage. But today the world could hurt them bad by killing their economy.
They had a solution; releasing the virus. Coronavirus was very spreadable, but not all that deadly. But it gave them the solution to the riots. It allowed them to utterly lock people down hard. And they did. They killed the protests.
And then add in getting rid of Trump, and ending sanctions and tariffs.
They claim 5000 dead. To achieve what they did? That is nothing to a government that has murdered 65 million.
They happily launched it on their own people.
This was definitely created in a lab, and it was no accident or a coincidence that it was released at the end of 2019, giving them an entire election year to use it to campaign against and remove Trump from office. There’s absolutely nothing on the Federal level I trust.
And if the release was deliberate, we have an act of war. And Dr. Anthony Fauci could be charged with a war crime.

Ah, the power of a massive disinformation campaign.
The technology does not exist to make a virus that has specific pathogenic properties, yet people still believe we can do that. This is like believing that we can control the weather.
There are valid reasons to criticize China’s behavior during the pandemic. But accusing them of creating the virus isn’t one of them.
