The Pentagon is examining a Trump-era policy that restricts the types of flags that can be flown on military bases, according to a senior defense official, CNN reported Tuesday.
The consideration comes as the nation kicks off Pride Month, a celebration to honor the LGBTQ community. While the defense official said that no decision have been made, changes to the policy could allow the rainbow Pride flag to be displayed.
“This goes beyond the issue of the Pride flag,” the official said, noting that the change would apply to numerous non-governmental flags. “The truth is we haven’t resolved it yet.”
According to the official, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin is aware of the review, and discussions are underway including Austin’s legal staff.
The policy was first established by former President Donald Trump’s Secretary of Defense Mark Esper, who sought to ban displaying the Confederate flag amid heightened racial tensions and the reinvigorated Black Lives Matter movement.

Judging by the increased number of calls to my home from military recruiters looking to enlist my kids, I guess that both stimulus and leftist-woke ideology have led to a serious labor shortage in the military.
When I told a recent Navy recruiter that he must have called the wrong number, because Biden doesn’t want non-homo, white, conservatives in his military, he hung up on me. Given the heated, corrupt political atmosphere of Fed.gov, I assume he wished to avoid involvement in a non-PC conversation.
My Gramma said back in the 60s that our military and weapons will be used against us one day.
The military recruiters need to start using recruiting vans with rainbow colors celebrating perversity—should be a big hit.

Sick, and getting sicker. I am glad that my Dad is not here to see this.....he fought in WWII and Korea up on “Heartbreak Ridge and Pork Chop Hill” and I can’t repeat what hubby says.
I was thinking the same thing. As a retired officer, I understand the argument that political expressions in the barracks and every place else on the base should not be allowed. It undermines good order & discipline. You shouldn’t be allowed to hang NRA stickers any more than you should be able to post NARAL or Greenpeace stickers.
BUT, if you’re going to not only allow but actively PROMOTE a particularly political or (I would argue) religious belief in the LBGT nonsense while at the same time prohibiting other kinds of political expression, that that’s even more undermining of good order & discipline.
DoD Directive 1344.10 is a good directive. It should be followed. But, it’s being ignored so long as these flags fly.

And as long as peacetime lasts, we will see pieces in the media about how much more capable the US military is due to the influx and promotion of homsexuality/transgenderism/Marxism and the push to put women in combat roles (which they have de facto approved now) but there will be many Americans who believe our military is second to none.
When we get into a combat situation, and the people who are well versed in homosexuality/transgenderism/Marxism and the well meaning and deluded women who occupy fighting holes are overrun and slaughtered along with the pear shaped men serving with them, well...we will know then the fruit this is going to bear.
And the people who implemented all of this will be long gone, filthy rich after influence peddling and grifting of taxpayer money to their remote homes in unknown and/or foreign locations, while the rest of us load up our wheelbarrows with devalued currency to buy a turnip or a few bullets to help us live a few days longer.
