I escaped Long Island for the black hills of South Dakota.

So, what, there’s an 9 hour response time for murder in Harlem now? If the shooting happened at 11am, that video isn’t connected to any response to the shooting.

It comes before “Dead honky!” in the classic SNL skit.

However, if defunding at that level becomes a trend and neighborhood cops just “disappear”, then I think we are down to vigilante justice. Professional police forces are less than 200 years old. The City of Paris had proto-police in the 1660's created by the King of France, but policing agencies in the modern sense were created in England in 1829. So human beings protected themselves for many thousands of years before the concept of police began. We can do it again if the government gets out of the way.

Let all 911 and other calls to police go directly to either Al Sharpton’s office or the local BLM.
Let them take care of it.

The solution is to turn all local law enforcement over to the sheriff. The sheriff is the only person in law enforcement who answers directly to the voter.
The only one.

The video above is just another reason why people who can are fleeing NYC as fast as they can. They don’t seem to want any police protection…they should be given their wish. Wall it off & let it burn. It's not the people fleeing NYC who don't want police protection. It's the ones still there who are attacking and trying to defund the police.

then I think we are down to vigilante justice. And, frankly, I can see that working OK too. But the BLM people wouldn’t like it. America's black areas would become like Brazil's "favelas" ruled by local gangsters and drug-lords. Cops would only enter with massive force. some BLM thugs would probably organize their own para-military force

” Vigilante justice is widely condemned but without law enforcement and a non-corrupt judicial system, it’s the only option.”
When there’s no effective law enforcement, “vigilante justice” becomes self defense.

It’s in the(poorly written) excerpt. Hours after the shooting there was a community thing that got out of hand. That’s when the cops showed. Whether hey were just getting there in response to the shooting, or were responding solely to the disturbance, is not clear. Seems like a long response time for a shooting.

As tempting as that may be, remember that, after they are done burning down their neighborhoods and stealing everything in sight, the “gubmint” will come in with billions of your tax dollars for “investments” in “urban renewal”. They don’t pay the price. We do.

Something is going on that is not a job for the police.

Interesting that today, the 100 year Tulsa Massacre is all over TV.
Hey everybody! Stop and look! Tulsa 100 yrs ago could be your neighborhood today.
Is all this Tulsa attention for our ‘education’, or an encouragement to riot?
