It's a given that the main reason why the Trump hating Uniparty and media don't want full forensic audits of the contested States to take place is because they fear these audits will reveal massive fraud. But there's another reason as well. And the fact that audits are already happening in Maricopa County, AZ, and Windham, NH, means the damage has already been done.
Allow me to explain. There are two parts to the Uniparty/media narrative regarding election fraud.
The first part of this narrative is that there's absolutely no reason to do any full forensic audits, because the 2020 election was "the most secure election in US history". This claim creates a "win win" situation for the Trump haters.
On one hand, they can say that because the election was so secure, forensic audits, are therefore, unnecessary and unjustified. And as long as politicians and judges from the contested States continued to refuse to allow these audits to take place, the Trump supporters would continue to "baselessly" yammer away about election fraud. And as long as the Trump supporters continued to complain, the Trump haters could say that all their anger and bitterness could lead to them committing acts of violence.
The second part of their narrative is that the January 6th Capitol protest was a domestic terrorism event akin to 9/11 and Pearl Harbor, and that Trump supporters spreading the "big lie" of election fraud, constituted the single greatest threat to the nation.
A key part of this portion of the narrative is that, because of January 6th, it was necessary to build a barbed wire fence around the Capitol, and station thousands of National Guard troops. Another key part of this portion of the narrative was the FBI reporting all sorts of "chatter" about violent protests being planned by Trump supporters, first for January 20th, and then again on March 4th (which Q Anon followers supposedly viewed as "real inauguration day").
In hindsight, the worst thing that could happen to derail this two part narrative was 1) several months passing without Trump supporters engaging in any acts of violence, followed by 2) several States allowing forensic audits to take place, even on a limited basis.
So first the Trump haters say that the biggest threat to the country is "angry" Trump supporters committing acts of violence, due to their belief in the big lie of election fraud. And then, after several months pass without any violence, they now say that the biggest threat to the country is "happy" Trump supporters celebrating the commencement of forensic audits.
So which is it? It has to be one or the other. It can't be both.
If the greatest threat facing the country is violent Trump supporters, then the Trump haters ought to be saying "these audits are completely unnecessary, but maybe it's a blessing in disguise to have audits done, in order to put the big lie to rest, once and for all".
But that's not what they're saying at all. Instead, they're now saying that the biggest threat to the country is having full forensic audits "muddying up the American people's trust in the integrity of our elections".
It's a total contradiction. It's a bad look. And they know it.
Liberals have no trouble believing contradictions. I was just in a large nest of them (***shutters***). The explanation for the audit was that Republicans don’t want to believe the election. Riots don’t matter if you don’t call them that. Riots do matter if you call a demonstration a riot.
Liberals have no trouble believing contradictions.

They just don’t care!
I used to think it was psychological defense mechanisms, denial, confirmation biases, echo chamber media, etc...
I do not believe that anymore.
These people blatantly and consciously choose to subscribe to positions that they know are wrong, but the defend them with deceit because they believe they are justified to.
No amount of facts, truths, or reality can be submitted to these mentally derelict people will change their minds.
The idea of changing the narrative about anything is even worse. The media aren’t just derelict, the are evil. They hate this country, and the people in it, including the useful idiots discussed above.
Doublethink is real.
In Georgia and Arizona our biggest enemies were Republican governors. They remain so today.
Democrat voters really are represented by the Democrat party. They’re liars and envious. Everything is permitted if it advances what they want.
The OP works as an idea only if all the people value truth. Democrats value power.
You described the liberal well.
The one trait that is common is they are jealous of everything.
I’m reserving my opinion on how much fraud there was (or wasn’t) umtil I see numbers.
True, but plenty of election fraud skeptics are Independents. Those are the ones who can be swayed.
It is entirely possible the Republican Gov and (especially) Sec of State may not be actually involved with the fraud but when it is uncovered they will be held responsible because it is their job to make sure elections in State are carried out as per the Stae law.
They are attempting to avoid the fall out by stopping the forensic audit.
Dude..
It’s not liberals..
It’s not democrats..
It’s not republicans...
It’s democommies and republiCANT’S that are the problem...
The big secret is that we citizens outnumber them, and that scares the shit out of them.
All we have to do is insist upon audits, and in 2022 throw ALL of them out... Democommie and republiCANT...
ALL of them...
I call them the “team player” republicans.
As in My team has to win at all costs.
What they don’t realize is that they are all on the same side, democommie and republiCANT...
Changing the thought process is difficult at best..
I feel like the lone voice in the wilderness, but I am slowly discovering that there are many more out there..
I don’t know if it’s just cognitive dissonance, or plain old irrational TDS, or some kind of die-hard partisanship or willful blindness. But these people who believe in all kinds of conspiracies (some of them real, such as the FBI trying to frame and extort Martin Luther King Jr, or the JFK assassination theories to name a few) somehow can automatically “debunk” theories out of hand without even bothering to look for or listen to any evidence.
As much as half the country thinks there was fraud in this election enough to have changed the outcome. The simple solution to restore “faith in democracy” is to audit the election and prove its validity. The more they resist the “simple” solution and encourage distrust in our institutions the more guilty they appear.
I pray to God there is a breaking point to all of this in favor of truth and justice.
It’s understandable in a way. People have been conditioned to think Republicans are the conservative party.
If they win, we win, ..right? (wrong)
IMO they are driven by the media. An amazing number of them think things like TV shows and movies are information. They’re hard for me to converse with (I’m kinda sarcastic which doesn’t help discourse).
Contradiction don’t make RINOS/DEMS look bad. Just the opposite. It shows that they rule and can change their mind anytime without consequence. Like ruling monarchs there is nothing above them that informs proper rules, morality and/or etiquette. There is just their WHIM. And the people may looked shocked, but no more shocked than peasants looking at a whimsical king. Changing their minds at a moments notice means there is no repercussion for their decisions... this behavior is a badge, a mark of distinction that tells people they are the rulers, because that is what rulers do. They are not accountable to the people or to anyone except themselves. Nice job if you cab get it!
Perhaps the word you’re looking for is shudders: To shiver convulsively, as from fear or revulsion.
