Given the gas price hikes and shortages, I thought it might be helpful to have a thread posted where people can provide information such as location, current price of gas, the percentage increase, and availability.

Sussex County, NJ: Regular about $2.91. I filled my tank; wife’s is almost full. Also filled two five-gallon cans for lawnmower. There were no lines; all seems normal. Luckily, I’m retired and wife works from home. We don’t go anywhere. Tank of fuel lasts almost a month. It wasn’t always this way. I covered the northeast; filled up every other day.

I’ve used GasBuddy for years, but I thought it would be interesting to have first-hand accounts from around the country to compare with what is being reported by media...

I too keep a fuel/garden shed in my hurricane alley, suburban home. I might go buy another barrel or two.

A NY friend’s son works for a trucking company. He says some trucks are not going to NY from the south because they can’t get fuel.

What I’ve seen reported seems to indicate the problem is more in the mid Atlantic stares.
