Florida reports more than 10,000 COVID-19 variant cases, surge after spring break

Variant COVID-19 infections skyrocketed following spring break in Florida and there have been more than 10,000 variant cases reported throughout the state, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported based on data from the Florida Department of Health.

A total of 753 variant cases from three strains -- the B.1.1.7, the P.1, and the B. 1.3.5.1. -- were reported on March 14, according to variant infection data shared with ABC News.

You missed the whole part where President Trump advocated for alternatives, used the alternatives like HCQ, recovered without a vaccine, and said he would never mandate vaccines?

It's creepy the way our medical establishment waited for China to release to the public what they claim is the genome of the virus before starting vaccine development. Knowing we were dealing with the China Virus, the US didn't use its own reseources but waited for China to give us what they claim is the genome, using the wrong techcnology to patch together a 'novel' virus. And the Faucists just ate it up, and now they push the vaccines like it's wrong to dobt China.

Not true. Knowing you test positive and calling that result are a “case” two different things. You do not have to fail quarantine yourself for 14 days or fail to do many other things merely because your positive test was not referred to as a “case”. And ANYONE calling your test result a “case” cannot force you to do anything as a result of that. You see “positive test” and “case” are not “synonyms”, either virtually or explicitly.

Yes it is ahistorical and only since Covid-19 that the CDC referred to the mere incidence of a “positive” test for a virus as a “case”. A “case” always meant the combination of (a) patient was sick/ill, (b) symptoms appeared to be common to a virus/bacteria (c) a test showed positive for THAT virus/bacteria.
