Variant COVID-19 infections skyrocketed following spring break in Florida and there have been more than 10,000 variant cases reported throughout the state, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported based on data from the Florida Department of Health.
A total of 753 variant cases from three strains -- the B.1.1.7, the P.1, and the B. 1.3.5.1. -- were reported on March 14, according to variant infection data shared with ABC News.

When someone tests positive on a PCR test, they are positive regardless of whether they are displaying symptoms at the time.
With this virus, if you wait until symptoms are apparent before calling it a case, you are providing plenty of opportunity for the infected person to spread the virus. An infected person is contagious for days before symptoms appear.
No, it is not contrary to epidemiological use to count a case as positive when they test positive on PCR. In the case of Covid-19, knowing who is positive is important for gauging how effective the infection control measures are, as well as for limiting future infections.

Why is it, that with all of these "new cases" and "covid deaths" in Florida, I don't know anybody, or of anybody, who has been tested, let alone tested positive or who have died from the covid? No one.
I keep hearing and reading about all of these people testing positive and dying from covid but ironically, I don't know anyone who has. Strange.
My only explanation is that I'm either blind or that the media is lying to us.
Which one is more likely since I have 20/20 vision?

The FALSE POSITIVE rate for the PCR test is over 80%. There is nothing morentom say about this. And you have it exactly backwards as far as what constitutes a “case”because a (positive) test is in fact not a case if
1-there are no symptoms (asymptomatic)
2-if no treatment is required.
3- if the “positive” is a false positive as over 80% are.

And, didn’t the inventor of this absurd PCR test even emphatically state that this test should NOT even be used, to test for China virus??
