Nearly 50 percent of Americans polled think that at least some social distancing measures will be permanent. Who can blame them? We have decided to make avoiding disease our full-time job. It’s more important than going to work or seeing your friends. It’s worth destroying the established Western social convention that we be able to see each other’s faces in public.
I’ve got news for you: If you spend all your time worrying about getting sick, you’re sick already. America is having a giant, hysterical, hypochondriacal fit....
I spoke to a doctor on the subject last week who reported that he’d felt pressured into getting the vaccine—by his own patients! The patients don’t know anything about medicine of course, but they were nervous. So he took it to reassure them. Now he’s having a bit of vaccine regret, as it becomes clear that a large part of the nursing staff will refuse to take it....
One friend who read my last vaccine piece asked: Shouldn’t I get the vaccine not for myself, but for society at large? Clearly, a great many people have done so. In fact, I’d be shocked to learn that more than half of the people getting the shot actually believe it’s good for themselves. Perhaps it impresses you to think that everybody is looking out for everybody else. But to me, it seems as though everybody is scared of everybody else. We’re frightened. We’re sick.
I’d say this is how things would look if powerful people were exploiting our social conscience for their own ends: Create a giant amount of fear that compels people to act without question, even if they worry they may be harming themselves....

I wonder if people who are vaccinated will wear armbands to show they were, or, people who didn’t get vaccinated would wear them. I wonder what color and symbol would be used for either one.
It’s only permanent if they all let it. Their obedience is prolonging this for the rest of us.
Get it. Don’t get it. I don’t care.
Why would anyone even think of getting it? It will not stop you from getting kungflu, it does not mean you can go near people, doesn’t replace masks. What is the point?
How about a mark on your forehead or hand ? Seems I read that somewhere
“America is having a giant, hysterical, hypochondriacal fit....”
Absolutely true. It reflects the generalized mental illness of the society cultivated by media.
The inordinate fear and hysteria about vaccination is also part of the hysterical, hypochondriacal fit....
Being antisocial naturally I haven’t faced many questions from friends and acquaintances about my vaccine status. I have considered just saying, “I really want to thank you for volunteering to be part of this important and risky beta testing of the vaccine. You’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din.”
If only your attitude was more widespread.
no you will have a nanotatoo barcode applied at birth and linked to a blockchain.
Remember how the power tripping principal in your grade school told you that your mistake would go on your “permanent record”
well that is what will soon be happening.
I feel sorry for the children being born today, and especially their children.
After that I don’t think anyone will have anything to worry about except for maybe Sticks and Stones.
“Get it. Don’t get it. I don’t care.”
Exactly, and STFU about it. It’s just virtue signaling by both sides.
I decided not to get the vaccine because fetal cells from abortion were used in the development and production.
Been offered the vacc...twice now.
I've not taken it
I think I had the COVID long, long time ago now...
See know reason to get a vax that is by most accounts experimental.
Call me names call me whatever......Don't care.
I will live my life...you live yours.
What sort of mark? Like a tattoo? A circle with a “D” in the center (the Democrat symbol). It says the mark of the beast not specifying what that mark is; maybe something from Looney Tunes.

Want a medical professional’s income?
Act rationally - act professionally!
“experimental”
After 50 million or so experiments, one can draw conclusions with reasonable reliability.
Somebody please explain this to me:
If you’ve been vaccinated, why do you still wear the mask? You’re no danger to others or they to you. You’ve been vaccinated.
If you’ve been vaccinated, why do you continue to practice social distancing? You’re no danger to others or they to you. You’ve been vaccinated.
Personally, I have no plans to take the vaccine. Not willing to be an experimental subject. Don’t want to experience mRNA messing with my DNA.
Anyone planning to take the vaccine should spend 30 minutes exploring the VAERS website, https://vaers.hhs.gov
The “fear and hysteria about vaccination is also part of the hysterical, hypochondriacal fit....” I call it vaxxiphobia. Plenty of shrinks and cots may be necessary to explore this irrational fear created, when as children, mommy forced them to be injected with vaccines against those pesky childhood diseases.
Yeah...and the flu can kill ya too.
