Yesterday, we called out Morning Joe for mentioning George Floyd six times but failing to breathe a word about the Chauvin trial juror who wore a BLM hat, and a T-shirt emblazoned "Get Your Knee of Our Necks" to a protest rally in Washington DC that Al Sharpton's organization had billed as the 'Commitment March: Get Your Knee Off Our Necks,' and at which several members of the Floyd family spoke. Before being selected as a juror, that person, Brandon Mitchell, denied to the judge having attended a demonstration about police brutality.
Morning Joe continued its unconscionable blackout of the matter on today's show.
But CNN this morning staged a surprisingly fair-and-balanced debate on the subject.

Morning Joe continues its disgraceful blackout of the news that one of the Chauvin jurors was a BLM supporter and lied about attending a police brutality protest.
But CNN staged a surprisingly balanced debate on it this morning.
Ping to Liberal Media Criticism list.
Resurrecting the Chauvin story is an attempt to get the ratings back. More riots. More court drama. Etc
In fairness, this is not ‘resurrecting’ the story. That one of the jurors concealed his BLM affiliation, and that Chauvin’s lawyer is seeking a new trial on that basis, is very newsworthy.
I don’t criticize CNN for reporting it. I criticize Scarborough/Morning Joe for NOT reporting it.
Joe can’t report it because if he does Mika will cut him off.
The only reason CNN reported it (completely out of character for them) was they wanted it to become news. They only show you what they want you to see and then tell you how to feel about it.
They are up to no good
They are up to no good
Correct. If their intention is to highlight our justice system on a fair and impartial jury of our peers, good. But this is to incite the mob with the notion Cauvin could get off.
CNN is surely dedicated to promoting liberalism and defeating conservatism.
That said, I can’t detect an obvious nefarious motive behind the balanced debate they offered here, and see no reason not to recognize this unusual moment of fairness.
They want to spin up the Chauvin story again. Chauvin was a tool used to identify “racists”. Racists were people who believed that St Floyd did anything to influence his own demise. They had a good run with that trial and if they can get it going again, they sell Corn Flakes and bash Republicans at the same time.
