Covering the US With Solar Panels to Meet Our Electrical Needs Is Worse Than You Might Think

Yesterday, the guys over at Powerline blog had this interesting little story on the practical realities as to why “renewable” energy sources like wind and solar power will NEVER generate the power needed to supply the vast electrical demands of the United States, notwithstanding all the proclamations and pledges made by moronic politicians chasing after “green votes”.

The fallacy in this argument is that facts matter.

When you have a government pretending that women can change into men (and vice versa), when you have an educational establishment teaching kids that 2+2 equals whatever you want it to be, you have people unreachable and unpersuadable by mere facts. They believe in Unicorn farts and nothing will dissuade them of that fact.

"Right now, the major metropolitan communities on the coasts are not served by electrical transmission lines from Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, and Oklahoma. All of that infrastructure would need to be built, as well."

Ha, ha, ha. Someone is underestimating the armies of lawyers and sophisticated legal systems in the middle of the U.S.A. It won't happen without complete control of plants and power generation by each of those Midwestern states ($$$) and would be a national security risk anyway. You want your agriculture in the Midwest to be protected from extra fallout, when the nuclear weapons fly (cratering devices aimed at nuclear power plants).

The nuclear power plants will fit just fine on the coasts, where there's plenty of water for cooling. They don't occupy much space. Talk the coastal NIMBYs into being neighbors with the new plants, or build them without the coastal NIMBYs' consent. There are many nuclear power plants in some of the heavily populated northeastern states and nearby Canada.

Much of the power generation will continue to be powered by coal and natural gas in spite of the threats and promises from the Democrats. Wind turbines will continue to be restricted to windy areas, and solar power plants, to the most sunny places except for a few small, private, residential power plants.

California needs more water anyway (desalinization driven by nuclear plants), and Florida man would look really cool with nuclear power plants in the background while munching on his neighbors. ;)

The only way new nuclear plants will be built in California is under Chinese occupation.

You only need a small corner of Arizona covered in solar panels to feed all of America's electrical needs.

Some agricultural commodities do better under solar panels. Less water is vaporized and some do better with indirect sunlight.

Nuclear is expensive to commission and even more expensive to decommission. But we need a few for a source of nuclear material for our nuclear arsenal.

We use too much energy to prepare our meals.

We need to switch to gazpacho, vichyssoise, and free range on all the insects around us. And don’t get me started on the nutritional benefits of dandelions!

The solution this author is missing is that if there were a lot less people, then the power needs would be reduced along with the necessary land mass.

And just by happy coincidence, less people would mean more available land, especially if the ones left “own nothing”.

Those great new green jobs will likely be cleaning solar panels for hours on end for our elite overlords.

I’d love to see the math in support of that idea.

It might work on Sunny days, for the State of AZ but distribution for any distance? New York is a long haul, in fact anywhere outside of a hundred miles of the facility is a long haul IMHO.

The goal is not to provide sufficient power to fill uS demand. The goal is to starve the US of power so the economy tanks. This is the entire goal of UN Agenda 21, now Agenda 30. This is the goal of climate alarmism.

In order to decrease the political influence of all of the Western nations, the New World Order forces (whoever they are), need to destroy their economies. America is the 800 lb gorilla. It is imperative that America’s economy is destroyed so that American political influence cannot interfere with the Agenda 21 implementation by the New World Order.

Abolishing fossil fuels will deprive the US of the cheap energy necessary for the economy to thrive. The deception is to proclaim that renewable energy will replace fossil fuels and meet the entire demand for energy, but they know it won’t. First, the US economy will be starved of energy. Later, when it is obvious that energy is in short supply, energy prices will soar, making it unavailable to many businesses, or at least restricting what they can afford to use.

The New World Order will not be denied. America will be destroyed. The deception that renewables will replace fossil fuels, is one aspect of that destruction.

How can we stop it? I don’t think we can.

Wonder if the “green votes” will wonder after the new green deal will mean no more paved roads because asphalt is oil based.
