Contrary to the article normal living expenses appear to be exempted, as are charitable contributions and humanitarian aid to the affected people under the president’s emergency powers. Its troubling that this executive order is so undefined, relying on an understanding of citizen rights that require the aid of a very good lawyer to ascertain, which most of us do not have. I think there is more to this story and that the author should explain the claims she has made since the publication is geared toward a general audience.
