Could the influx of large amounts of cash, all over the country to start Marijuana farming and sale and distribution of it in incredible amounts be with Chinese financing? I always assumed it was Big Tobacco that was backing this effort so that they could take it over when the small mom and pop’s went out of business, but now I wonder how deeply the Chinese have infiltrated our society. I have no specific information to that effect but had someone doing work on my place propose that possibility to me.

I think cannabis and pornography should both be illegal. People can still find it and buy it on the black market but the rest of us don’t need to be exposed to it
I’ll admit I spoiled one woman’s marijuana holiday yesterday. She was going to a bar and asked me, “Do you know what I’m celebrating?” Without hesitation I said, “Sure. Adolf Hitler’s birthday.” Which is true; Hitler was born on April 20, 1889.
Has anyone else on FR noticed that liberals tend to put their holidays on the birthdays of dictators? Earth Day (April 22) is also Lenin’s birthday, and the winter solstice (December 21) is Stalin’s birthday. I’m guessing that it won’t be long before Ho Chi Minh’s birthday (May 19) becomes a liberal holiday, too.
Don’t forget the propensity of evangelical potheads to preach their addiction to everyone around them. Very annoying.
And, as I learned in Vietnam, weed can cause psychotic breaks. Anyone who says otherwise is a liar.
Unless and until I deprive someone else of life, liberty, or property, anyone opinion or legislating on what I must or can’t do is a waste of otherwise good organs.
What is so special about weed? Alcohol is legal, but you don’t see the govt going around promoting its usage. Weed should be treated the same way. The penalties for driving loaded should be the same as alcohol. No advertising. Not even street signs on the hophead storefronts.
It is not a boon to society.
Good for potato chip manufacturers, though. Especially the sour cream and green onion flavored one.
Been using cannabis daily since February 2015 for medical/behavioral reasons with great success. I went from being unemployable to working 2 jobs for last 2+ years.
Every aspect of my life; physically, spiritually & emotionally has been improved since I began using cannabis. I do not believe using it = sin.
No different than what they did to China with the Opium Dens.
They have a long memory.
Nor alkies - yet the legality of their drug is the better choice. Nation-of-addicts demagogery is pearl-clutching rubbish - and steadfastly ignores the easily observed harms of criminalization.
