The Society of Catholic Scientists has scheduled their 2021 SCS conference, and this year’s topic is literally out of this world.
Titled “E.T., A.I., and Minds Beyond the Human,” the conference will be held at the Hilton Hotel in Washington D.C. from June 4th thru 6th. It will feature a full range of education and theology experts covering topics related to the theme.
“There’ll be 13 talks,” said Dr. Stephen Barr, president of the Society of Catholic Scientists, in an interview with the Catholic News Agency (CNA).” Half of the talks are going to be about extraterrestrial life, and there’s going to be talks by some big experts on that subject.”
Among the speakers scheduled to talk about the entire range of possible non-human intelligence are Astrophysicist Jonathan Lunine, director of the Cornell Center for Astrophysics and Planetary Science; Dr. Karin Öberg, professor of Astronomy and Director of Undergraduate Studies at Harvard University; Simon Conway Morris, who is the chair of Evolutionary Palaeobiology at the University of Cambridge; and Christopher Baglow, Director of the Science and Religion Initiative of the McGrath Institute for Church Life of the University of Notre Dame.

My take is Aliens are not in the Bible and are therefore not Children of God, if they even exist.
OTHER LIFE ‘BEYOND HUMAN’ - How nice; the Holy Trinity, and things Angelic and Satanic.
Quite possibly Satanic. I don’t believe for a second that there are aliens.
But if there are, they aren’t a part of revelation and therefore they must be either purely thinking animal beings who can’t be saved, or spiritual beings with physical manifestations, angelic or demonic TBD.

My take is that the Bible is a recipe for finding our way to Christ and the Forgiveness of sins. It is NOT a technical manual for the Universe.
The Bible doesn't mention a great many things; yet, they exist just the same.
I can't understand why people can't accept life "out there" simply as part of the greater Creation. Why must they box God's work into their own tiny little view of things?
Perhaps you would be better spending your time trying to fit the bigger Creation into your view rather than limiting God.
Please recall that God did not write the Bible. Men did. God's guidance in that effort was to show the need and the way to Salvation and to set some behavioral ground rules. It did not strive to teach ancient sheep herders the technical issues of the physical sciences.
