Aw, this reminds me of a sad story my mom told me. When WWII was happening there was some cat who lived at a little deli or grocery store, and the poor kitty looked like Hitler. And people would be mean to the cat because of it. Which just shows how stupid people can be. Don’t remember if the cat got rescued from that or what.
I watched the movie “Downfall”, there’s one scene I couldn’t bring myself to watch.
It’s funny, of all the monsters portrayed in that movie, the one I felt the most hate for at the end, was Magda Goebbels.

I read once that in the Middle Ages, cats were thought to be evil, so anything goes.

There are two cats.;) One is a 21lb male NFO tabby and the other is a female NFO tortie.

I love cats and currently have a beautiful tri-color cat named Molly, closing in on 2 years old. My sister has Molly’s sister, Dolly. If I was younger I’d get one of my two favorite cats, Maine Coon Cats, and the Norwegian Forest Cat. Both are beautiful, and I’d love to have a Norwegian Forest Cat, but one is all I can handle now at my age. I envy you having one.

Awww, so you have a tortie, too! People say they have “tortietude” but mine is such a sweet girl but she is silly and funny, too. I flew her over here from Italy. Again, the Norwegians from reputable breeders, are very hard to come by in the US.
I had to fly to Pennsylvania to pick up Zander, that was an easy one-day trip however.
Everyone wanted Maine Coons, when they started to become popular so they drowned out the Norwegians. Maine Coons are even quite a lot more expensive, or can be, which is odd given the rarity of Norwegians. I just can’t look at them the same way because of the faces that Norwegians have. They are so beautiful even the wild looking ones which I love. They are just prettier cats but that is a personal opinion.
I hope you can get one some day. If you ever decide to do and need help just ping me and I’m happy to advise you on what I know. I have had Norwegians for over 20 years.
