Other search engines provide results about Minnesota riots when same term is used.
Amidst yet another night of violent unrest in Minnesota, Google is effectively shadow banning searches for “riots today” despite other search engines providing links to stories about the riots when the same search term is used.
Black Lives Matter agitators rioted and looted for a second night in Minnesota despite the deployment of the National Guard.
The unrest is in response to the police shooting of Daunte Wright, who resisted arrest after cops stopped him for a traffic violation.
The killing is being described as an example of “systemic racism” despite the fact that Wright was shot by a dumb female officer who mistook a gun for a taser.
Apparently, Google is keen to not have the disorder that followed be described as “riots,” despite the fact that is precisely what happened.
A search for the term “riots today” returns results pertaining to the January 6th incident at the Capitol and the Brixton riots, which took place 40 years ago.
In comparison, searching for the same term on DuckDuckGo provides numerous links to stories about the riots (despite them being described as “protests” by most mainstream media sources).
The top news search result on Microsoft Bing also returns a story about the Minnesota riots.
Twitter also continues to describe the chaos as “protests,” despite even Joe Biden himself asserting that looting and attacks on buildings aren’t a legitimate form of protest.
Once again, despite the fact that Wright’s killing is blatantly being exploited by opportunistic thugs to commit crimes that have nothing to do with “justice” or “peaceful protest,” the media and the Big Tech establishment continues to run defense for violent BLM-inspired scumbags.
That should take care of the problem!
I saw this - and tried it
It gives one or two hits on Minnesota, but remaining search results it offers are all about January 6 “insurrection.”
pure propaganda.
google, tweeter, farcebook execs feel it’s their duty to control what we think. They use their power to suppress truth and to promote lies.
DuckDuckGo returns link after link of the Minn. Riots when you type “riots” “Minnesota”.
I typed in “minneapolis riots today” and hundreds of hits came up regarding the duante riots.
I like Watson, but I think he whiffed on this one. I entered “Minnesota riots” into Google search, and the first 19 stories were about the Minnesota riots.
Lots of search results come up in google for this
They may have turned it off. Another FReeper tried it and got no riot info.................
“Minnesota riots “................
The most honest assessment of the riots thus far:

Big tech and the MSM can censor, obfuscate and do whatever they wish to advance the socialist/globalist anti American narrative. However they can’t alter reality. Democratic urban strongholds are unlivable and lawless. Commercial and residential real estate values within these cities are dropping as business , using the new technologies realize that they no longer require expensive central locations to prosper. People who can are fleeing the lawlessness, high taxes and abysmal services and schools. What is worse the flow of private capital, the lifeblood of any urban area, is drying up. People will not invest in these places.Soon the the “Covid” relief funds will be spent and reality for the failed Democrats will follow.
