“The shooter of Scalise was killed . Those officers saved a lot of lives that day.”

Well, that’s likely. But I suspect DAVID BAILEY (the cowardly ambush assassin of the unarmed, unaware and non-threatening Ashli Babbitt) wasn’t a prime mover of that. They had three officers there assigned to protect Scalise. The three of them were apparently clustered all together by the 1st base dugout instead of strategically deploying themselves around the field in a state of high alertness and situational awareness on the lookout for any potential developing danger. You know... arrival of each new vehicle should have been under close scrutiny as should have the exiting occupants of said vehicles. An individual carrying an SKS rifle exiting a newly arrival vehicle should have been IMMEDIATELY addressed by the security detail before the had the opportunity to set up a firing location.
When the shooter was FINALLY engaged by the three members of the security detail, it was the female officer who sustained a bullet wound as she fired upon the shooter. DAVID BAILEY suffered no bullet wound. He was supposedly “injured” somehow (scratches from gravel as he closely hugged the ground?) but was NOT SHOT.
