An extended thread topic. Discussion of the different Covid vaccines. Comparisons. Contrasts. Pros. Cons. Firsthand experiences, scientific insights, etc...
** The current vaccines available on the market are:
1) Pfizer/BioNTech (mRNA) 2 doses
2) Moderna (mRNA) 2 doses
3) Johnson & Johnson aka Janssen (DNA adenovirus vector) 1 dose
(And for those with any experience or expertise regarding some of the additional ones avail overseas, feel free to contribute as well! Note: none of the below employ mRNA technology.)
- AstraZeneca (British/Swede collab)
- SinoVac (China-developed)
- Sputnik V (Russia-developed)
...one that doesn’t kill you but makes you stronger.

Shouldn’t someone post the prior two threads on this subject?
My wife got 2 doses of Pfizer. No reaction other than a sore arm.
I have gotten the first dose of Moderna. No reaction other than a sore arm for about 2 days.
Novavax.....but not available yet. Part of it’s charm. :)
How JnJ is designed to work

I’ll type in the keyword “whichvax” on all of them so you can search that way also :)

You can just search “Which vaccine to get”. They aren’t terribly useful, as you might expect when random people chime in on any topic.
The one to get is the one they have.
As far as future planning:
Pfizer (and I presume Moderna) continue increasing T-cell responsiveness for at least six months after dose #1. I can easily imagine both of them being converted to one dose only in the future.
Johnson & Johnson’s two dose study will be unblinded very soon. I have zero doubt that two doses will prove superior to “one and done”, no one who gets J&J should do so under the belief thta one dose only is a guarantee - I personally think that’s kind of unlikely.

That article just sent my head spinning and I'm about ready to go into a panic attack.
I don't want any of this crap - including the damn' CCP virus in my body. I've been taking Vitamin D and Zinc supplements and getting as much natural Vitamin D as I can along with losing some weight I needed to get rid of. I'm thinking that's the safest route.
Took J&J yesterday. No problems at all. Son took same and he is sick today (flu like syptoms and head aches).
My wife got and had the same.
What about that article is causing you to panic?
A college softball team near here, about 10 of them (college-age females) all got J & J shot a couple weeks ago; all were sick for a couple days afterward.
Some that we know have gotten sick (mostly after the 2nd one) with Moderna.
Most we have talked to around here have had the Pfizer, and no problems to speak of.
We’ve had both of the Moderna shots. Nothing but sore arms the first time. Aches and headaches and fatigue on the day after the second shot.
I am doing Pfizer two shot. First shot knocked me out for 24 hours. 2nd shot is next week. Wife took the J&J onetime shot and it knocked her out for 24 hours.

I know 2 people that had Moderna and had flu like symptoms for a few days. They all seem to have similar side effects. I just didn’t want any mRNA in me.
Now as everyone knows the papers you are required to read say NONE are a cure for covid and none are approved to prevent covid.
I got the vac because my daughter is on self imposed lock down and I miss her dearly. My wife got her 1st shot and I’m sure she feels the same but they got her so scared she would have taken any vacs any day.
Me I could have lived without it as I’ve been since March 13th 2020!
