I doubt that generations who grew up playing video games will get off very much on baseball, so I doubt that was the case.
More likely it was the (vastly overpaid, but ignorant) players bitching, the usual twitter-type mob threatening ‘boycotts’ (with most of them thinking that it’s racist/unjust to accuse blacks of stealing more bases than whites), and the implied/implicit threats to be ‘disruptive’ until MLB complied with moving the game out of Atlanta.

Yesterday I talked about a boycott. I had left the game after the BLM Marxist honors were issued by MLB.
Once again, they are making us double down on those efforts and I am.

Hopefully MLB is destroyed, but it’ll take awhile. Our damn woke major banks and broadcast networks favor institutions that share their anti-American values. So they’ll have money and plenty of advertising after this, at least in short term.
Yeah, I remember it. The games meant something back then. The game has gone to siht and it’s time for me to move on.
Perhaps the leaders of big professional sports will come to realize that their industry is based on fans who pay to watch games and buy the advertisers products. These fans want to see the sport played and are not interested in seeing it become a political rally or mass protest with the game itself now secondary. Sports fans have survived pretty much without these games during the COVID pandemic and are just start to get interested again. If big professional sports are ever to regain fans and their money they are foolish to piss off them off with these political and protest shenanigans.
The only thing that will kill MLB or any of the other sports is when people find things meaningful enough about their lives to replace those things with.

How could you not hate Biden? Bill Clinton lied about sex (and was justly impeached for it). Biden lies about everything. And has always been a dummy, a liar and a cheat. Ironic that a president who is too feeble to throw out a first pitch has destroyed Major League Baseball or at least irreparably harmed it.
Much better to play the game these days, than to watch others play. I still have my pitcher’s glove.
