Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski has drawn a 2022 Republican opponent who’s signed on key Trumpworld figures to help guide her campaign.
Kelly Tshibaka, the state commissioner of administration, announced Monday that she would step down from her state job and challenge Murkowski, a vocal critic of Donald Trump whom the former president has vowed to oppose in next year’s midterm elections.

This woman’s CV is surprisingly competent. If we can’t beat Murkowski with her, we can’t beat Murkowski.
My guess is she’ll easily lose her primary contest than do exactly what she did last time: Run as a write-in.

That only matters in the general election. The #1 concern is making sure Mitch doesn’t run 116 conservatives against Murk to split the vote thus giving Murk the nomination.
IIRC Murkowski won via entirely write-in votes over the GOP nominee in 2010.
Some judge determined that any spelling kinda, sorta close to her actual name was good enough.
