I am not certain the man in that picture is the named “suspect”. It is the only picture/video I have seen of someone being removed from the store who was bleeding.
When they brought him out there were very few officers around him and they did not appear to be very tense. There was also no escort to the hospital for that ambulance on the live feed - just the ambulance.
At the point that man was removed there were probably 200 police cars on the scene from multiple jurisdictions. Don’t you think they would have escorted the “suspect”?
News reports today say the gunman was “badly injured”. That man is ambulatory and does not appear to be in distress.
Just throwing this out there that we might want to wait before we make conclusions. SWAT medics will cut off clothing to check for wounds just like any EMT or paramedic will.
I am holding fire on this one until we get more info.
