When I hear “15 days to flatten the curve” I hear in my mind “Just the tip” because they are both flat-out lies.

Illinois Department of Public Health said coroners with questions about death classification information should contact state officials

Well then let the state take over the country coroners offices too. Why bother with redundant workloads?

The curve was way flatter in August of 2020 than it is in March of 2021 but nobody was talking about re-opening back then.

But the motives for inflating the numbers are many, and strong.

So much that it’s impossible to think the numbers wouldn’t be inflated.

The real question is why would a poster here insist there wasn’t any inflation?

Hmmmmmmmm?

Perhaps the poster isn’t convinced there was enough inflation to make a significant difference? As the poster noted, there is reason to believe there were undercounts too.

Well the hospitals stopped all elective and non-emergency procedures so they were losing money. Gotta keep the lights on and fedgov pays $14k per covid death. What’s a hospital administrator to so?

But it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that the political pressure and the absence of ethic is all on the side of inflating the covid death numbers.
