...On Monday a CDC study finally admitted that the overwhelming majority of Americans who suffered greatly or died from Covid were obese or overweight.
“As clinicians develop care plans for COVID-19 patients, they should consider the risk for severe outcomes in patients with higher BMIs, especially for those with severe obesity,” the agency wrote.
The entire country was held hostage, schools were closed, churches were closed and small businesses were crushed because of obese people and power hungry globalists....
CNBC reported:
Among 148,494 adults who received a Covid-19 diagnosis during an emergency department or inpatient visit at 238 U.S. hospitals from March to December, 71,491 were hospitalized. Of those who were admitted, 27.8% were overweight and 50.2% were obese, according to the CDC report...

I always said the fatties would cost society much more than smokers. I win.
We persons of lard-belliness would feel discriminated against.
I think we should eat the fat people.
Solve world hunger and reduce deaths from COVID. It’s a win-win.
co-morbidity
I’m choosy about my foods. Should they be first processed into Soylent Green?
WE ALL knew this already MANY MANY with diabetes had HUGE problems most with diabetes are also obese!!
Color me so surprised. Excessive weight puts a greater burden on the heart, lungs, & rest of the body, including the immune system. It’s tragic but not unexpected.
Much later, the nurses and doctors who spoke out on Youtube and Twitter against ventilator protocols that were too aggressive, and damaged infected lung tissue, will be able to come forward again and reach the public.
Obese, using the BMI rating.
On the BMI chart, I should weigh between 125 and 155 pounds.
I graduated high school a REALLY skinny kid, at 137 lbs.
According to the BMI index, I am obese. If I were at the recommended weight, I wouldn’t be able to do my job, since I wouldn’t have the mass and strength to properly torque the fasteners used.
BMI is a great bloody lie. Nearly every athlete is, and most “normal” sized people out there are, obese by the BMI standards. I include those photos from the dust bowl of literally starving folks.
This isn’t a new finding.
New York epidemic cases showed this.
Imagine that.
Surely two months into the pandemic trends in the correlation between weight and severe illness with the ‘rona were being noticed.
It’s a shame the CDC didn’t advise people to do something useful, such as have a cup of hot water with a couple tablespoons of organic apple cider vinegar nightly and go for walks, without a mask.
Many just plain overweight people could have gotten themselves down to a good weight by the end of summer.
Both are oxygen deprived. Neither group has good o2 saturation characteristics. Not good for any type of disease.
“Many just plain overweight people could have gotten themselves down to a good weight by the end of summer.”
Could have but didn’t. We have been picking up and treating a bunch of people who entered the lockdown and started eating and never stopped. Many cannot even get out of the bed now or take care of basic needs.
well.... since about that same percentage of the population is overweight or obese.. that’s not surprising.
My overweight sister bought one...and used it to hang laundry.
The majority of Americans are overweight. By far. I’d prefer this info in relation to bmi to know how much it impacted prognosis. That said there is no doubt it’s a negative. Maybe the most negative with influenza as we’ve known for years do wo yo Kent be a surprise with covid.
Difference with covid is risk factor of age of patient. It is significant
The other 22% were too close to the Clintons. lol
So wouldn’t be a surprise.
