Go to aldis maybe once a month. Never wore a mask. Florida
I guess we’re lucky. What I really like about Porters is the produce and the staff. The meat section is OK but Walmarts seems to be better. Number one selling point for me is they don’t allow a line to build up, they just open up more registers.
It's a matter of personnel. A cousin of mine works in retail, and despite their store's signs, they were instructed to never confront a customer about not wearing a mask.
A local Target had a "greeter" who was performing "mask checks." I went there one Saturday, they went to hand me a mask, I politely declined, and I continued walking. No one stopped me or confronted me.
Now, a local Bath and Body Works has a tent set up outside their entrance, and they will straight up not allow you into the store without a mask and a temperature check. I explained to them that I don't take kindly to people pointing "guns" at my head, but they refused entrance. We don't shop there anymore.
No retail goon making $10/hr. is going to put their personal welfare on the line to confront someone about wearing a mask.
Good.
