At the just-wrapped Conservative Political Action Conference, or CPAC, headlining speaker Donald Trump made an inflammatory speech from a strange, zig-zagging stage. The speech, of course, drew attention, but it featured largely the kind of content we have grown to expect from the former president. The stage itself, however, drew anger for its shape — identical to that of the Odal or Othala rune, historically used as a Nazi insignia.

"Identical" except for the fact that it was NOT identical. It was barely similar. Here is a diagram of the whole stage, including the parts that these slanderous hit pieces are ignoring:

So let me gets this straight. I know I’m a white supremacist. You know you are. We frequent certain gatherings because we want to share our supremacist views. Yet we feel it necessary to flash various signs and symbols and risk exposure for.... what reason? I realize the other side are idiots, but what they repeatedly want to impute to their opponents on flashing signs, layin’ down runes, etc. just doesn’t make sense

That would be pretty cool if it was true but I think its just a coincidence

One might ask... is the Democrat Party the same Democrat Party that supported slavery, started the Civil War, opposed Reconstruction, founded the Klan, committed hundreds of murders and lynchings, established Jim Crow laws, blocked school desegregation in the '50s and '60s, apposed the Voting Rights Act, opposed the Civil Rights Act, and now supports vicious racist terror and re-segregation? No? They have the same name. Is that just a coincidence?
And now some idiot comes up with this tortured fallacy. No surprise, they have to deflect scrutiny and guilt somehow.

If you took whoever designed the stage, held a gun to their head, and asked them what an Othala rune looks like I guarantee you they would not know what you’re talking about. Any resemblance is entirely coinicidental.

Kinda funny, I see the Teamsters logo in stick figure. Guess I’m not up on my Nazi insignia

What’s funny is how many of these dismissed the intentional halo and Greek temple effects used with Obama.

Wow. With such a brazen nod to Nazi-ism you'd think there'd be a plethora of quotes to back up the assertion or at least some video of the speakers giving the Sieg Heil! salute.
I didn't watch the CPAC. I leave it to my fellow FReepers to inform me as to whether or not either or both of those things were common occurences during the convention.

Recall 'Projection'.
I don't care about signs and symbols, you don't either. We care about things like individual freedom and limited enumerated government. But, the left is all about symbols. They know it, and we really do know it too. They are just projecting their symbol obsessions onto us.
