Matt Meyer, the president of the Berkeley teachers union, says it’s too dangerous to open the public schools. But Meyer was just filmed taking his own daughter to a private school.

Two points of note :

1. Allegedly we can’t risk sending kids to school, but his own child goes to an operating private school.

2. He’s president of the Berkeley teacher’s union, a union of public school teachers, but he sends his own child to a private school. He doesn’t like the quality of education in public schools provided by the teachers he represents?

Ironies are noteworthy aren’t they?

They need to set a date to reopen and note that any teachers not returning will be considered a being on a illegal strike and the contract will be terminated along with the teachers

Something I saw several years ago: The professional group with the highest percentage of its children in private school is public school teachers.

How soon is pretty soon? Taxpayers have been paying teachers to sit at home and hold Zoom sessions for a year now. The public school system isn't going away - our kids educations are.
