The Al Jazeera network is launching a new digital platform purportedly for American conservatives called “Rightly.” Its first video offering, “Right Now with Stephen Kent,” debuts on Thursday, February 25. The often controversial Qatari-government-funded network is touting its upcoming content as being developed for audiences that existing mainstream media leaves underrepresented.
Al Jazeera, which has faced accusations that it is a propaganda outlet, apparently has concluded that it will have more success with the right than the left. The ratings-challenged, liberal Al Jazeera America channel, which started off as Al Gore’s Current TV before it was purchased, shut down in April 2016 after about three years.
Al Jazeera has tapped former Fox News exec, Scott Norvell, as Rightly’s editor in chief. In a statement, Norvell outlined what those who tune in can expect.
“With Rightly, we are hoping to create a platform that amplifies the voices of an array of personalities that more accurately reflects the racial, cultural and generational diversity of center-right politics in America than existing outlets.
“We aim to bring new Americans, young Americans, and Americans of color together and present conservative ideas that transcend the barriers which identity politics aim to put between us.”...

I don’t trust it either but never understand why Muslims would want to identify with creeps onp the left.
Actually, it could be the fruits of President Trump’s peace initiatives.
> Why do I not trust this idea? <
Please don’t be so provincial. This is probably part of the great Muslim outreach to show the West that they are just another friendly, peaceful religion.
And remember, Pope Frankie the Stupid is already on-board with this outreach deal. You should be too.
That was from an advertisement on the page. Al Jazeera is not trying to sell wine also. And I wasted time to see if they would sell me bacon too.
Hey Al Jazeera thanks but
Jesus is the Christ
The Son of the Living God
(I’m sure they won’t understand why I typed that)
I know. I reported it to the mods for removal.
LOL
Does anyone have any business sense anymore?
Basically, Big Tech has had it so easy, and become so successful because their entire industry is new and fresh, they think they can piss off or disregard a whole giant group of people.
I mean, their thinking is they are woke, and correct, and anyone who disagrees with their philosophy, politically or otherwise, are reprobates unworthy of their gifts to mankind.
UNTIL... Along comes someone with business sense and thinks; “Hey, look at that huge group of people with nowhere to go AND they’re as rich as any other Westerners. We could make a ton of $$$ giving them what they want (Said nobody EXCEPT Fox News 25 years ago).”
This is bound to happen.
If the so-called powers that be decide we are unworthy, and even our money is no good to them, others will see it as an opportunity.
I wouldn’t call it exploitation, just business.
Finally a program that will champion all the false right-wing stereotypes.
Al Jazeera was more balanced then CNN or NBC is today.
“Why do I not trust this idea?”
Can’t say I blame you, but I still view Al Jeezera and RT Times with more respect than our media.
Well, there is something weird about the title of the post.
‘Wine’ and ‘Al Jazeera’ don’t seem to mesh very well...
Because the libs will protect them and apologize for them.
Because you aren’t the usual low info person on the street who only gets their ‘news’ from colbert
No doubt their target audience will be on board with them.
Count me out.
Because creeps on the left provide Muslims with money for terrorism.
Is the some kind of joke? Where’s the sarcastic tags and Babylon Bee link?
I certainly do.
