I’ve always been a .45acp kinda guy so I’ve never really taken an interest in Glock, however I’ve heard their 45 platform is nice and the ability to have a carbine that shares the hi-cap mags is what really peaked my interest.

"Ford vs Chevy vs Dodge vs Toyota vs Nissan = Glock vs Sig vs Smith vs HK vs FN vs CZ vs Walther vs whatever other gun maker...All depends on how one feels in your hands, trigger, weight you’re comfortable with, price, sights, modifications, etc etc etc, but feel how it feels in your hands being the most important."

How dare you inject dispassionate logic and common sense on a firearm thread.

My normal carry pistol is the Glock 23, which is the 19s .40 S&W twin. I picked that pistol about 20 years ago, when 9 mm ammo was considered to be marginal, at best. If I were buying a pistol today, I would go with the Glock 19. I don’t know if I’ll ever make the switch, as I have a 23 at each of my two homes, as well as lots of .40 ammo. I’ve never owned a 9 mm, so I have no ammo supply of the stuff, and trying to find 9 mm today is like trying to find an honest Democrat.

Not to mention it costs more than buying a Democrat.

Probably from some rich collector. I’ve only seen 2 in my life, one in a museum and an old man I used to landscape for and shoot guns with, he let me put some rounds through his. Had DWM markings made in 1909. He said it belonged to his father in England and he ended up with it after his dad died and his wife and sons came to the states in the early 30s. That old timer’s gotta be pushing 100 by now if he’s still alive.

Part of me wishes they made C96 reproductions, but when you understand the pistol on a mechanical level, you see why it’s not. Lots of tight fitting parts, super tight machining, and very complicated mechanism, would cost a fortune to produce in numbers and only forgotten weapons nerds like me would buy them

My only real gripe about the glock is they’re boring...

I want mine to be boring. Press - bang, press - bang. Same boring thing every time. :)

We have a 19 and a 42 (.380), which is a baby 19. Smaller and easier to carry.

I have bought and got ride of five Glocks. I will stick with my Sig P320 and H&K VP9. The latter is actually my favorite at the moment. Shopping for a VP40to add to my carry choices.

Biden's imaginary firearm does not appear to be a Glock.

I like my Glock 34 better, but I have big hands.

I’ve never understood the hate for Glock.

No muss, no fuss, go bang everytime. Heck I love Colt Pythons! I’m not going to throw one in the glove box of my old
truck and drive around for weeks at a time without thinking
about it rusting or getting banged up.

Boring? Yes. Until the SHTF. Then nothing is boring. Or more interesting than having that precious safe queen at home in the safe.

Yes, the Model 92 and 96 have the features I like.

As do dozens of others...from Sig to HK.

SA/DA with de-cock.

A design that cannot be improved, or surpassed.

I'm sorry, I can no longer agree to disagree. It's in my contract. So, you will simply have to come around to my way of thinking. Thanks in advance for your prompt attention to this important matter!

No. it was good in the 90’s

Gun Tech has moved on.

There are pistols with much better ergonomics and safety than Glock, which for the casual user is important.

In my opinion, the Glock handle feels like holding a brick.
