Critics Rip AOC As She Celebrates Frozen Windmills in Texas As Evidence of the Need For a Green New Deal

Criticism was rampant following comments by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) suggesting power outages in Texas due to a winter storm and accompanying low temperatures were evidence of why America needs her Green New Deal.

“The infrastructure failures in Texas are quite literally what happens when you *don’t* pursue a Green New Deal,” she tweeted without evidence.

“Long-term we must realize these are the consequences of inaction,” AOC (D-NY) added.

Her comments come even as Texas governor Greg Abbott has placed blame on the power grid failures in-part on frozen wind turbines.

The monies aren’t going to an AOC Foundation. They’re going to Houston Food Bank, Family Eldercare, Feeding Texas and the Bridge Homeless Recovery Center.

On the other, Ted distributed at least 1 (one) water bottle to an exciting photo op.

I’ve got an even better graph that shows all output from the producers. Where it says in the article that gas also went down isn’t what people are thinking. They pretty much had to throttle back due to lowering demand from the many line failures due to all the ice. Here in the Permian Basin we got hit pretty hard with ice and damn near the whole area went down. I’m going to be repairing lines here on the ranch for another two weeks before I get all my wells back up and running. What is obvious in my graph was a complete failure in wind energy days before they started to throttle back gas, coal and nuclear. These line failures caused most of the damage and blackouts, some still don’t have power and it’s been 5 days now.

Vile, cruel Cuomo didn’t kill any Texans, though.

Power loss to the grid was 5 times greater from natural gas as from wind.

Nancy Pelosi never did demand that AOC apologize to Ted for saying that stupid remark about wanting to kill her.
As a policy, the Dems never ‘apologize’ to republicans, unless forced, and then it sounds more like a sneer than an apology.

[[[AOC and the vile, cruel Governor Cuomo have banned fracking in New York , have not permitted the construction of any pipelines and have forced the closing of the Indian Point nuclear power plant which generates up to 25% of the electricity used by New York City. In about a year brownouts and rolling blackouts will be common in the New York metropolitan area. The people suffer when schizoid people come to power.]]]

Take heart, they are building a huge solar array in Stormville NY across from the prison. They can have the convicts shovel the snow off the panels when we have blizzards from the global warming.

They built a gas turbine plant on Rte. 22 in Dover which is a very nice facility. However they’ll need about 3 more of them to make up for Indian point being closed.

That’s the punchline with an incorrect presumption.

It’s not a ‘theory’: It’s a dictate masquerading as ‘science’ being promoted with religious fervor.

But leftists are the antithesis of religion’s classical definition.

The other aspect of the definition of religion is ‘zealous’:

“marked by fervent partisanship for a person, a cause, or an ideal : filled with or characterized by zeal”

Which brings me to another definition:

“a system based on fervent dogma set forth by its promulgator”

In other words,

“Cult”

Insert punchline here.

Will that 4 million go to real Texans in need or will it go to “social service” agencies whose main jobs are to lobby the government for money to promote the leftist agenda.

Houston Food Bank, Family Eldercare, Feeding Texas and the Bridge Homeless Recovery Center.

If you identify better Texas charities, please support them.

If you say those are good agencies I will trust you. I just see AOC involved and I immediately look for the scam and a tip jar to be raided.

Thanks for the information. I am not familiar with the organizations you listed, and I got turned into a charity researcher before I donate type after finding out about the annual compensation for CEO's at American Red Cross and United Way. Non-profit indeed!!!

A quick look found an annual comp for the CEO of Feeding America over $1 Million, but I did not see any connection between Feeding Texas and Feeding America.

Saw a report on Germany — a country regulary exposed to cold weather.
All of their solar panels were covered with snow. All 30,000 windmills were frozen. Germany had to import coal-fired lecky from Poland and Nuke juice from the Frogs.

Sit on that Thundberg and AOC.

Stupid became cool when people stopped publically calling them out on it.
Oddly enough, it’s not like ignoring a screaming child. Which, after all, does eventually need your support.

These “bigger” children never get a slap down, even verbal, so they think anything they say/scream is OK.

There used to be a negative feedback loop on stupid/criminal, and positive on “Good job!”. Now, it is a participation trophy on the lamest crappola possible.

That is complete horse shit! On the 8th of February wind generation started to fail, at that points it was producing about 23,000 Megawatts and fell to damn near zero. Gas at the same time was producing about 18,000 Megawatts and started to increase. By the 15th of February wind was down to around 1,000 Megawatts and gas was up to 44,000 Megawatts. At the same time Coal was producing about 10,000 Megawatts and nuclear 5,000 Megawatts. On the 16th all production of electricity started to fall not due to problems at the facilities so much as the massive amount of line failures across the state. We have power lines still down and won’t be able to get to them for at least a week. We had whole towns down not due to rolling black outs but to line failures. When there’s no place to go with the electricity produced you start dropping you’re production. That’s why we seen a drop in gas generation and even then it was still producing at twice what it was before the freeze.
