We all know that something morally grotesque is swallowing liberal America. Almost no one wants to risk talking about it out loud.
Every day I get phone calls from anxious Americans complaining about an ideology that wants to pull all of us into the past. I get calls from parents telling me about the damaging things being taught in schools: so-called antiracist programs that urge children to obsess on the color of their skin. I get calls from people working in corporate America forced to go to trainings in which they learn that they carry collective, race-based guilt — or benefit from collective, race-based virtue. I get calls from young people just launching their careers telling me that they feel they have no choice but to profess fealty to this ideology in order to keep their jobs. Almost no one who calls me is willing to go public. And I understand why. To go public with what’s happening is to risk their jobs and their reputations.
But the hour is very late. It calls for courage. And courage has come in the form of a woman named Jodi Shaw.
Jodi Shaw is a divorced mother of two children, a lifelong liberal and an alumna of the college.
In October 2020, after Shaw felt that she had exhausted all her internal options, she posted a video on YouTube, blowing the whistle on, what she says, is an atmosphere of racial discrimination at the school. “I ask that Smith College stop reducing my personhood to a racial category. Stop telling me what I must think and feel about myself. Stop presuming to know who I am or what my culture is based upon my skin color. Stop asking me to project stereotypes and assumptions onto others based on their skin color.”

Smith, along with the rest of the left, is practicing anti-white racism; all these fancy terms and theories are just excuses to justify discrimination and abuse. It feeds the egos of the race baiting industry and the leftists, and won’t lift a single black woman out of poverty.
I am still trying to figure out how you can be same-sex if you take biological women who change to men... or if a boy who converts to female is really the new female. Which is truly a “female” institution? There are only three or four all-male colleges left and I have no idea how they are handling the issue. I also don’t know if the federal government can still give money to single-sex colleges...but prejudice against the trans would probably take precedence over traditional assumptions about single-sex.
Did his experience change his views in any way? Or is he merrily continuing down that destructive road?
If that happens, I hope you write as powerful a resignation letter as Jodi Shaw did.

Exactly right. Giving seminars and training classes in the military, at universities, to businesses, at K-12 schools is now a multi-billion dollar business. And NONE of that money spent improves productivity and all of that spending vastly increases racial animosity. People who never thought about race before Obama now have it shoved into their faces every day.
Let’s hope the aphorism “a conservative is a liberal who has been mugged” holds true. Maybe she is on the Road to Damascus and the scales have dropped from her eyes (bit of mixing scripture there).

It certainly will not do that, but the result is far more insidious than just not helping those who need help. This crap is going to increase racial resentment and set us back 100 years.
The scary thing is “Critical Race Theory” and the “1619 Project” are now getting mainstreamed at our K-12 schools throughout the country. It was bad enough when schools turned out hate-America marxists, but they will now be turning out self-loathing graduates. We are going to have an epidemic of mental maladies after a few graduating classes inculcated in this.

Very good observation. What’s doubly weird is going from hating another race to hating YOUR OWN race (in most instances). The USA is still three-quarters white. How they succeeded in getting people to hate the vast majority of the country is beyond me — and getting so many white people to sign on to hating white people.
It’s a magnitude of insanity beyond my comprehension. Why don’t all the white-hating white liberals just off themselves?

You nailed it. Teaching this “CRT” bull crap to our young students is going to permanently warp their brains in unimaginable ways and we will pay unfathomed consequences for that.
When in the course of all human history has the large majority of a population been taught to hate themselves? We are in uncharted waters.
