White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on Wednesday said coal and natural gas – NOT frozen wind turbines – caused the power grid failure in this week’s Texas cold snap.
Texas got hit with a rare cold snap that spanned to the southern part of the state and the power grids gave out.
.... Snip....
Millions of Texans suffered blackouts partly due to the frozen wind turbines.
Psaki said reports suggesting renewables caused the power grid failure in Texas are inaccurate, rather it was renewables that came in to save the day.
“Numerous reports show that it was failure in coal and natural gas that contributed to the state’s power shortages,” Psaki said.

Anyone who says a winter storm like this is rare in Texas hasnt spent time or grown up in Texas. Exactly right. Even back to the early statehood days, blue northers were famous. And I can’t count how many ice storms in Texas I’ve been through.
But these days, dishonesty is the coin of the realm.
New energy source: she’s going to circle back so fast, so often that all we need is a magnet in the middle and she’ll start producing electricity.
Oh, Wall Street Journal. Market watch. A bunch of business related papers that are globalist climate change cheerleaders.
If you can’t believe people that wanna make money by selling us more green energy, I don’t know who you can trust.
The bigger the lie, the easier it is to promulgate....................
Baghdad Bob Psaki.
He recalled them finally. But it was because they had to sleep in the parking garage one night. Not because they were there to support the overthrow of the government. He was fine with that.
Yes, I’ve noticed the left wasted no time in vigorously and vociferously pushing this BS narrative.
I’ve been in my home for 32 years. smalltown u.s.a. and for the first time ever, the city administrator put out a message requesting that ‘we’ conserve our electricity usage due to our provider having trouble keeping up with demand during this ‘cold snap’. Oh really? We’ve had frigid Arctic winters before and never ever had any issues. Why now? what’s changed? (rhetorical)
Shhhhhhhhhhhhh, you buzzkill!
I was at Fort Knox, KY when a real cold front hit.
The Governor called up the Guard to deliver fuel oil.
They couldn’t get their vehicles started.
The Adjutant General was fired the next day.
And this is the same army that supposed to fight a war in northern Europe? In Korea? Icy roads means they just stay in? What good is the National Guard if we can’t use them in an ice disaster because it’s icy outside?
Icy snowy weather didn’t keep the guard from staying there in DC and operating.
“Numerous reports show that it was failure in coal and natural gas that contributed to the state’s power shortages,” Psaki said.
The gas plants were having problems, but the huge coal plants get on going as if nothing happened. Just that they couldnt get out enough to cover the loss from the whirly bird choppers.
“numerous reports” - ok, name the reports and let us judge the validity of those reports.
Considering whom she works for, I never believe what she says.
Stupid is as a stupid democrat says.
When Dementia Joe is gone, Psaki will be replaced by Baghdad Bob.
