House Democrats on the Education and Labor Committee voted to approve a $15 minimum wage proposal as part of the coronavirus relief package, despite warnings from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) that it would put 1.4 million Americans out of work.
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) celebrated the passage of a proposal to more than double the federal minimum wage from $7.25 to $15 per hour by the year 2025.
“It’s a wrap,” she tweeted. “$15 #MinimumWage passes the [Education and Labor] committee after more than 13 hours of debate.”
CNBC reports that it is unclear if the minimum wage provision would survive inclusion in the final $1.9 trillion aid package due to strict Senate rules.

No teens will ever be hired again, much less “teens”. No jobs for no education, no experience. I have 30 years experience in automation, and databases, and a dozen programming langages and I am a mechanical engineer with a high background in advanced mathematics, statistics, big data, and physical sciences and large scale manufacturing, with old school knowledge, of wiring, machining, and even pipe bending. I think I can make a fully automated fast food joint capable of running with one person to fix jams with fully automated accountung and ordering. And I will undercut anybody by half.

It will kill more than 1.4 million jobs! It will actually slow the economy. The economy cannot be controlled in that way.
Here we go again!

You are thinking people that have low incomes will get off getting supplemented government assistance.
But that will actually fail because the cost of doing business will go up so the price of everything will go up.
So the people it is suppose to help will actually be the people it will hurt.
The only way the low earners get out of the low paying jobs is getting a better education which would lead them to higher paying jobs.
I personally feel the cost of College should be lowered. I do not feel it should be free but it should be available for all in some form.
