In the late 70s/early 80s Coke introduced biodegradable plastic bottle and had to quickly abandon the concept because the bottles were dissolving on shelves before the contents were consumed.

The idea leaves me flat. Why don’t they just use glass?

Trees. But I guess progressives (socialists) aren’t interested in saving that part of the planet anymore. Just like Tibet. Don’t free them, screw them instead because international communism takes precedence now.

I tried the paper straw at Disney. It was awful. Liberals made us stop using steel for plastic and now that they failed there they are trying to dictate another failure on the populous.

My body, my choice.

Of course!

That is the difference between progressives and conservatives. Progressives ban those things they don't like. Conservatives don't use things they don't like

I read there is a company now that makes condoms out of paper.

So you have to ask your date if they want paper or plastic.

There were six of us in my family. Everybody smoked but me. I couldn't stand the smell of cigarettes, or seeing the dirty ashtrays. Three of them died of lung cancer. The other two of a massive heart attack and stroke. If I live to turn 74 in August, I will have outlived them all. I never blamed their illnesses on smoking because I have my own health problems despite never having smoked, and I never blamed the cigarette companies, because my parents and siblings were adults, who could make up their own minds about what substances they put into their bodies.

No big deal. When we were kids there was a guy in our neighborhood who was always drinking out of a brown paper bag.

A long time ago I knew someone that worked for a paper packaging company. He said the dream of the their industry was to make a paper container for carbonated drinks.

The paper-carbonated-drink-container effort has been going on long before it became the dream of environmental loudmouths.

and the sealing system would need to be more durable.

But remember, it can't be plastic! Not sure how you make a sealable opening with just paper.?
