The Ohio Department of Health announced late Wednesday that as many as 4,000 COVID-19 deaths may have gone unreported by the agency, and said it planned to make the adjustments in the coming week.
The 6 p.m. news release came two days after cleveland.com questioned why some reports from the Centers for Disease Control showed Ohio with about 4,000 more deaths than what the state had been reporting. It was unclear from Wednesday’s announcement if this was related. The state did not respond to the cleveland.com question from Monday.
The state to date has reported 11,856 deaths since the onset of coronavirus in Ohio early last year. The announcement means the death total likely is closer to 16,000.
“Process issues affecting the reconciliation and reporting of these deaths began in October,” Wednesday’s announcement from the health department said. “The largest number of deaths were from November and December. Although being reported this week, the deaths will reflect the appropriate date of death on the state’s COVID-19 dashboard.”
Even before the adjustments, the last two months of last year were the deadliest on record for COVID-19 in Ohio, with 2,804 December deaths reported through Monday and 1,572 for November.
Dan Tierney, spokesman for Gov. Mike DeWine, said the error had to to with a “reconciliation” of death records from two databases....

For your consideration.
Many of the bodies attributed to “Covid19” in America were not TESTED for Covid19.
Make up a score.
The CDC ESTIMATED the number of deaths from H1N1. They never even counted them. They stopped counting before the end of 2009 and kept estimating into 2010. They had a high estimate and a low estimate and ran with the middle guess figure. They certainly didn’t count asymptomatic people as being sick.
I reported my mistake with the source publication.
Am I the only one who has noticed the Case Fatality Ratio (CFR) for the USA was on a decline until Jan 19, 2021 when it reached 1.67.
Since Jan 20, 2021 the CFR has increased and as of yesterday, the CFR was 1.73.
It appears the ‘powers that be’ are doing all they can to inflate the death numbers so as to scare as many folks as possible.
The vast majority of Covid deaths in America occur in hospital settings with an abundance of evidence to support the diagnosis including positive covid tests, lab work, chest xrays and CT scans, pulomonologist notes, attending physician notes, ER physician notes, nursing notes, vital signs, etc.
and, the BS gores on and on and on. It will continue until everyone is a believer or reeducated.
CFR is always a snapshot in time. The final CFR can’t be known until the pandemic is over.
I am an ER nurse in a large Ohio hospital. I’ll be my own judge of what the BS is and who’s spreading it
You can be admitted into a hospital with a heartattack that they are unable to save you from.
Not everyone in the hospital WITH covid (or suspected of covid) was admitted BECAUSE of covid, sheesh.
Good for you.
pretty much most of them were/are actually but if they had a comorbidity of some kind and died with Covid, Covid was certainly a contributing factor in their demise.
You can be admitted into a hospital with a heartattack that they are unable to save you from
and what fraction of 1% of Covid deaths does this example represent? I'm going with about .00000001%, especially here in Ohio.
Is this just a function of the new guidelines involving the number of cycles used with the PCR tests and other measures, such as two positive tests, being necessary to say someone has the ‘rona?
So maybe the cases are lower.
But it is still a perverse numbers game and a psyops operation courtesy of the CCP and complicit American politicians and fascist corporations.
Does this include the 40% of covid deaths in Grand county here in Colorado who died of covid shortly after their gunshot wounds?
OHIO PING!
Please let me know if you want on or off the Ohio Ping list.
Ohio health department says it underreported coronavirus deaths by about 4,000

If you’re a nurse, how do you know what goes on the death certificates, or on which line?
You’re not the the pronouncing physician, coroner, or ME.
Is it possible that your job gives you an incorrect view on the virus?
You ONLY see the people who are suffering the absolute worst from it.
I know a wide cross section of people. Urban people, rural people, black people, white people, rich people, poor people, old people and young people.
I personally know (as in...I have previously eaten a meal at the same table with) about 50-60 people who have had Covid. This ranges from a 72 year old grandmother to an 11 year old. Some extremely healthy people to 2 people who weigh over 270lbs. About 20-25 had either no symptoms or very mild symptoms to where they wouldn’t even have known they were sick without the Covid scare going on. About 20-25 had what they referred to as “somewhere between a cold and the flu”. 3 people said it was the worst illness they ever had. 1 person had to go to the hospital. None of them died.
On a daily basis you are seeing a constant stream of people in the same boat as that 1 person I know who was hospitalized.
Your view is skewed and not accurate.
Is Covid real?...YES
Do I want to catch it?....NO
Can it be really bad for some people?....YES
Have we as a society overreacted to it?....YES
Are you?
Really? are you kidding me? I have been neck deep in Covid for over a year and you think you have a keener perspective of the reality because you ate dinner with some people? And how the H did you sit down at a table and eat dinner with 50-60 Covid positive people? I’m calling BS on that.
