I watched the Super Bowl yesterday. I don’t follow pro-sports. Heck, I didn’t know who was playing until Saturday, but my son plays high school football so it was fun to watch it with him. (the boy is nearly Gronk sized) I rooted for the team with all the old dudes, and as an added bonus I found out afterwards that Brady is a Trumpkin, so him winning caused a great deal of wailing and gnashing of teeth among certain circles of super obnoxious dorks on Twitter. So double victory.
But the highlight of the whole evening for me was the commercial by Jeep. Because holy shit, there is a perfect example of an utter failure in marketing.
I can imagine how they came up with this ad campaign:

The CEO of Jeep stands at the head of a conference table filled with the CorpoUniParty’s best and brightest. “Alright, our new campaign is going to be about Reuniting America, so we’re going to aim it at those horrible, knuckle dragging red state deplorables.”
“But sir, aren’t they all domestic terrorist insurrectionists who need to be driven from society because they believe in evil conspiracy theories like unfair elections?”
Everyone at the table laughed, because red staters are so stupid. Everyone knows the election was merely fortified.

Now that we’re in charge it’s time to come together and all that other bullshit. Reuinited America it is. So we need to figure out how to appeal to…” the Corporate Overlord made quote marks with his fingers. “the working man.”

The game was pretty boring, and the commercials weren’t very memorable — except for the one for JEEP. I remember it for all the wrong reasons. Funny how the Left is now talking about reuniting, unity, common ground, etc. They never had those sentiments during the four years of attacking Trump and those who voted for him.
I sat through that dull, plodding, mawkish Jeep advert, all the way to the end, and given the Super Bowl is the woke Olympics, thought to myself “OK, so who is this entertainment queer are they pushing on us now?”
I only learned yesterday it was Bruce Springsteen. LOL.
To them reuniting and unity mewn re-education the right and beating them into submission and cancellong them and harassing them to no end, free assau,ting them IF they don’t comply wimperingly.
I watched the game at a friend’s house. The libs in the room, all Springsteen fans, were horrified at the message. “Unite with the insurrectionists? They tried to overthrow the government...Hard pass, Bruce.”
How did they get the transcripts of the Out Takes?? I wish they would out the actual out takes up.... I know I know, but it is just too damned close to being 100% accurate to really be considered satire.

He s always been a radical leftist. How anyone holds him in high esteeme is beyond me. He had a few hit songs, an now he practically escoriates anyone who makes it by hard work alone in this country. The left, all rabid capitalists practically hate the very capitalism that. Made them mega rich, BUT, They only hate it for everyone else. There was Bruce, getting likely a huge check, telling everyone how wo derful its gonna be now that Trump, who made practically everyone’s lives better financially, is gone, and Biden, who wants to severely limit how much people can make, and punish them with high taxes and fines and regulations, is gonna be.

Yep, I guess I’m so disconnected from popular culture, I didn’t know that was Springsteen in the commercial.
I also have no clue who “The Weeknd” is, or what message was conveyed by a halftime show with dudes with what appeared to be athletic supporters or underwear on their heads was all about.
The dagger in the Jeep commercial was at its end when they showed the communist red star in the heart of America.
I remain stunned by Jeep’s arrogance.
To the left unity equals conformity.

According to their playbook, all this kubaya starts with you getting on your knees and begging forgiveness for the unspeakable crime of supporting PDJT. Then you have to agree with everything they say, without exception. That’s their “common ground”.
The ad by Jeep made me run right out to buy a 4Runner.
