America's polarized society is like a married couple on the brink of divorce, Dr. Ben Carson believes.
"It's like a marriage, you know, people, they love each other," Carson said in an interview on the John Solomon Reports podcast. "They can't stand to be away from each other. But what about before they get divorced? They stopped talking, and next thing you know, their spouse is the devil incarnate ... and that's what's happened to us as a society, and we got to start talking to each other. "
The former Trump administration HUD secretary hasn't abandoned hope for national reconciliation — if only we can remember the ideals that brought us together in the first place and start talking to each other again.
"[We got to start talking to each other, said Carson. "We can work this out. We are not each other's enemies."
In the hope of helping Americans to reconcile around the nation's "cornerstone values and principles," Carson has launched a new think tank, the American Cornerstone Institute.
The nation needs to recover "things like our faith, things like liberty, things like community, things like life, foundational pillars," Carson said, "and watching those things melt away in our society is not something that I could do ... we can't just idly sit by and let that happen....

Maybe 40 years ago. Reagan Democrats were Christians and they believed in God. Now Democrats are Bolsheviks. They are all in with their ideology. Think of AOC being like Lenin. That’s what we are dealing with here, unfortunately.
I suspect this think tank is merely going to supplant formerly once conservative think tanks that have strayed. To that extent, he is doing a good thing in that they need supplanting.

They were a bloc in the Democratic Party. You also had Southern Democrats who were more conservative. Since then, they’ve joined the Republican Party. There are no moderates or other blocs remaining in the Democratic Party
Point is their extreme element was bombing the military, businesses, police, and politicians. THOUSANDS of bombings were carried out in the 70s by leftists. But the public perception is that all bombings are the mob or anti-abortion fanatics.

I do not want to and am not interested to reconcile with murders and thieves. You can if you want. Anyone who can tear to pieces and rip an unborn child from its mother’s womb along with admitted and known thieves I am not interested in being friends with.
Good and evil cannot be reconciled. The truth and the lie cannot be reconciled. Patriotism and treason cannot be reconciled.
One side must submit or be defeated.
