In a generally weak year for Super Bowl commercials, Jeep’s stood out for being particularly obnoxious and tone-deaf. Called “The Middle,” left-wing political activist and world-famous singer Bruce Springsteen narrated and starred in the ad about how the country has been divided, but now it has a bright future as the “ReUnited States of America.”
While advertisements that appeal to virtues in order to increase sales and profits can work — see Toyota’s beautiful ad about the joy in adopting a child with special needs — this one fell flat and faced mockery and opposition from many viewers. Here are the three main reasons the ad didn’t work.

Springsteen is the definition of a useful idiot.

1. The Messenger Is Known For Hating Republicans
2. The Images Were All Off
3. The Argument For Unity Was Not Made Well
Sorry, but I thought the Toyota “Swimmer” ad was just bizarre and awkward.

Mollie spent a lot of time dissecting the ad when a simple “No talent springstein did a jeep ad for the super bowl!” would have sufficed. Saw ZERO of it.
The best thing about the super bowl was when I heard all but one of the guys at work asking, “OH! Is that today??”

There was a Super Bowl this year? I didn’t notice. But I am glad this post mentioned that Jeep paid for advertising on the bLM loving NFL’s tiny little game. Now I know not to every buy one of their products.

I think many liberals engage in what is called “Magical Thinking” (most prevalent in small children) - it’s the child-like belief that if they want something to happen, they just have to say it or believe it. So if “the Boss” says we’re “re-united”, we are, even tho the exact opposite is true. What was the Biden saying “Truth over Facts” ??
Mocking Christianity, employing Bruce "I'm a Communist" as a spokesman, and implying that
China Joe Potato Head Biden is a 'unifier' are all BS. If I ever thought about buying a Jeep, that idea was dashed.
